Now, the quiet entry may be related to the time we were there, a week night at dinner. It has the appearance of a place the might really get going on the weekend. The food was good, not great, the price were good. It is a bar/restaurant. For those who have been to Habaneros in Puerto Morelos, it is nothing... More

It is a small restaurant that has been in business, to my knowledge for a few years. many locals go in there with their families and friends.I come from the US and my sister lives in Merida. This restaurant is one of our favorites. The service takes some time, all is prepared on the spot. This place is not the... More

This is a very small restaurant that is kitty corner to the convention center. Small terrace outside with a few tables but because of the heat and that the road in front is busy and dusty we chose to go inside. There are about 10 small tables very close together with the backs of chairs touching each other. I chose... More

The food here was ok, but the service was a complete chaos. There were several people waiting on us. Due to their poor coordination we got complimentary starters twice, meaning we were half full by the time food arrived. Drinks took ages to arrive. The food was generally ok, but the meat in the pibian dish was dry and hard... More

This morning I had the pleasure of visiting this great restaurant. I was invited there to have breakfast with the Escalante family. When visiting Merida , I would strongly suggest a visit to this restaurant because not only do they offer great Yucatecan/ Mexican food you will also be surrounded with a touch of the culture. I was amazed to... More

Super! Cerdo ahumado and sopa de lima - excelente. The made to order salsa was amazing. This place is a five minute walk from the museum and totally worth the visit.

This was my first time to the Yucatan and so many people recommended this restaurant! Took a taxi to this gem of a restaurant. We stayed in central Merida and the beautiful, historic drive was so worth it.....We arrived at Habaneros..... So clean.....the food was to die for!!! I normally don"t eat breakfast but OMG!!! One of the last to have an authentic tortilladora in from making authentic good tasting tortilladoras. Selection of beers and some liquor. The extensive menu is Mexicfan on one side and Yucatecan on the other to help ignorant gringos like me to learn more about the foods here. Everything was attractively served. The table salsa was some of the best... More

Happy to have stopped here for lunch. Great Yucatan cuisines at reasonable price. Very good and friendly service. The guests can see the tortillas being made.
