We stayed at a hotel about 2.5 blocks from the restaurant. We had been planning to eat at a different place every night, but the food and service were so good that we ate here 3 of our 6 night stay. I think the most we ever paid, including tip, was $280 MX. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor... More

We found this place above the Los Arcos Hotel close to Hotel Doralba where we stayed. The nachos, and the guacamole appetizers were so good. We ate there three times for dinner, and were never disappointed.

Was taken here by a friend who is a Mexican national. We would never have found it on our own. Food was outstanding, with all of us having different dishes. Portions huge! Food delivery a bit inconsistent with two of us being served well before the other two. Hard to complain, though, with such excellent prices. If it were better... More

We had a group of 9. Service was ok. Waiter forgot 1 order. Bathrooms were clean. Food was hot and fresh. Tapas were tasty and came out quickly. Very popular looking place. We would go back!

A great local place that offers many different dishes for excellent prices. I always recommend this place to people that are in Mérida for a visit, as well to those who live in the city and don't know this great place.

Order a bucket of beer (wine also available) with your Mexican or American specialities. This hot spot opens at 2 pm so don't plan on an early lunch. They accommodated our large group of 16 people and managed to give us good service also. Ideal pub food.

What a lovely surprise this place turned out to be. It is a sport bar and I did not expect much from their food but it was delicious. We had chicken mole, burritos and enchiladas in mole all cost between 45-60 pesos. Sometimes the food came out just a bit cold but the flavour was still amazing, especially the mole... More

Our daughter-inlaw found reviews of Las Vigas on line, so the four of us gave it a try for lunch. It is a bit tricky to find as it is on the second floor of Hotel Arcos on Calle 63 very close to the Grand Plaza in central Merida. The menu is primarily Mexican, while the servings are large and... The service was friendly and fast. Best time in the evening to still get a place to sit is around 6:30, after that the locals start coming in and it will be packed in no time. They like taking the bucket of 5 beers special with a huge plate of richly covered nachos. For a lunch we had very tasty... More

I had mixed Ceviche which a guide told me today is not served in Merida, based on government restrictions, raw and that the fish has been cooked. It was in any event, delicious. It was half shrimp (camerones) and half octopus (pulpo) and was enough to bring home some for the next day's lunch. My friends eat breakfast here all... More
