I was at the restaurant for lunch because they are not opened for dinner according to Google which is not always reliable. After reading a review I tried the fried lamb which was moist, and my biggest fear that it would be dry and tasteless, but it was tasty and moist. I loved the spinach pie that was flavorful of... Stopped here on our last day in the Yucatan before heading to the airport. We were looking for an alternative to the local cuisine after six straight days of Yucatecan food. I found the food to be very basic and lackluster. Hummus was OK, chicken was decent, spinach pastry was blah, and lamb kabob was not so good. Our entire... More

We were in Merida for weeks and we were starved for spicy and flavorful food. I'm Korean and my husband is Indian so we are used to having at least some sort of Asian or other flavorful cuisines and we were really struggling in Merida with the food choices. We are both a fan of Lebanese food so we decided... More

Would not recommend this restaurant. Went there because guide book recommended this restaurant. The food was below even basic standards, pork shish kabob was way under-cooked (bloody), tacos poc chuk were mostly chopped onions, flat bread was yeasty, stale and unpleasant. The only edible part of the meal was walnut sweets. I had better meals at McDonalds, Cafe Alameda is... More

We saw this restaurant advertised in the Yucatan Today magazine, and we were immediately interested. It said 'the very best Lebanese cuisine in Merida'. As a previous poster said, I also have eaten Lebanese food all over the world. I am very familiar with Lebanese cooking since I spent half my life with Lebanese people. My husband thought it would... We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor on one of our first days in Merida. On the map it only looked around the corner from where were staying, and we trudged in the heat to try and find it on the third attempt (and after google maps helped). So glad that we found it, it made a change from usual... More

I have eaten here for years and have ALWAYS enjoyed the quality food and service. My last visit was no exception to the norm. If you like high quality (and large portions) of Mid-Eastern food - this is the place for you. Note: NO A/C so if you are not used to the heat of Yucatan you might not want... More

We stopped in to Alameda for lunch in Merida having been here 5 days, traveling about. Yucatecan food is interesting...but can lack spices, in our opinion. Alameda corrected that. You may hesitate to walk in as a tourist...the tables are plastic, it looks like a locals place...and is...but the food is delicious, and the value is supremely good. A fellow... More

Just had lunch here with my family. located just blocks away from the two oldest cathedrals in town, The original local, 70 years old, is still family owned (grand daughter of original owner still running it!) Our server had worked there for 30 years and if that is not a testament to a great family run business i dont know... More

The place is humble but the service and the food (in that order) are first-class. The waiter explains (with a lot of patience) the menu to you if you are unaware of this kind of food. The lunch was excellent, with different and new flavors. Worths the visit.
