Con un gran salón abierto decorado con un mural, pantallas y una gran contrabarra que es tan grande que seria casi inevitable no voltear a verla. We stayed down the road from Patio 8, and one night decided to go try it out. Very good flavours. We also received our food approximately 5 minutes after ordering it. I strongly recommend the tacos!
Our service too was very good.
The only downside is that you can walk a small distance away from 5th avenue, and get the same for a lot cheaper.

My fiance and I had many restaurant options to choose from on 5th Ave. We decided to try Patio 8 as it offered a really cool atmosphere off the 5th Ave strip. We were very pleased with the food, drinks and service. The shrimp tacos were delicious. And special shout out to Humberto who was a great bartender who served us excellent margarita drinks and tequila shots. He was very welcoming and we couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks Humberto! Your friends from LA who sat at the bar and watched the NBA All Star Game!

Was disappointed with Mexican cuisine until this place, it blew us out the water, best steak an chimmichuri in the area and service was unbelievable. Great value for the price and would highly recommend. Also Adam the waiter was amazing! Thanks guys!

Do not go there for food , service or football.. promise the world delivered 1/4 of it.
Asked if football was on and informed yes , so 9 of us entered. After 20 mins the drinks turned up. After another 20 mins the meals cane out...well some of them did. Those that did come out, well i have to say you would find more taste found in a drowned fly.
The bill came out , charging us for all the food ordered ( reconciled against the actual order) and they seemed surprised the food wasnt delivered, even though we asked several times where the rest of the food was..
The manager was called, and after stating the food was incomplete, tasteless, and service appalling, did what all rogue managers would do..simply shrugged his shoulders.
AVOID.. over priced and a terrible experience.. another group of 15, also shared the same experience.
Spend your well earned money elsewhere

I highly don’t recommend this place. My friend and I went there for lunch. We were offered a two for 1 drink special and that’s what got our attention. We ordered birra tacos , a short rib sandwich, a can of club soda and 1 drink special. Our server came back and we decided to pay with a card. He was not verbal with the total so I asked was the total he showed me with gratuity included or not. He shook his head yes. I asked again to make sure because I wanted to tip and I realized in Playa restaurants you have to add the tip first not after you run the card. So in US dollars our food was around $56 but with tip it was $71 and some change. The server charged my card in pesos for $1,406.70. I noticed it a few hours later but already left that area. That same night I returned to Patio 8 to speak with the man in charge who sat us and offered us the drink specials. He was not in the same welcoming mood after I stated I think it was a charge issue. He immediately said there is no way I was charged that amount and blamed me. It kept yelling “ IMPOSSIBLE!” I showed him my bank account and statement. He even saw the receipts and what we ordered. I also showed him charges from other extremely well known establishments in Tulum and Playa Del Carmen that I used my card in and how it was just a simple mistake of being charged by his employee in pesos and not US dollars. He didn’t want to hear it nor cared about any of my actual proof how it was a mistake on his end. He angrily rushed my friend out of his business. He got our money and didn’t care about anything else. It’s plenty of great places to eat at with delicious cocktails that aren’t water down on 5th Avenue that respect you and your dollars. Please chose them over here. As a person in the hospitality business this is not how you treat your customers.

Last night we went to Patio 8 - this was recommended by the concierge at our resort (Viceroy). It was a quick $20 (USD) taxi ride to 5th Avenue where they have amazing restaurants, live music, and a huge variety of shops - everything from typical souvenirs, to local artists, to larger malls with upscale stores you would find it any ritzy mall. Specifically referring to Patio 8 - it was awesome. Our waiter (Jorge) was absolutely amazing in making recommendations for food and drinks. The music was great, the food is great, the drinks were great, and they even had somebody doing aerial acrobatics! Not to mention great people watching up and down 5th ave! Would highly recommend this restaurant for great food, drinks, music, and atmosphere!!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Playa! I’ve been living here on and off for the past year, their menu changes & switches up to try new [incredible] recipes, sometimes with the same ingredients, just a new fusion. They hookah and 2 big screen TVs. Our waiter Geovani even spoke 5 or 6 languages and was mad funny. Drinks are excellent.

We loved this place so much we went twice in our short stay in PDC.
The food and drinks were great, we enjoyed our hookah, people watching was perfect and service was nothing short of excellent.
Adan went above and beyond for us and Edgar is an amazing bar tender. Cant wait to go back!

Excellent food, ambiance and service. Drinks were delicious, so was the food. Pizza and burgers my favs and service was super friendly at the bar and the restaurant area. Edgar was super funny and friendly we kept asking for a table were he was working… btw ask him for a carajillo, you won’t regret it!

This place is my nightmare. If you like loud music and terrible and EXPENSIVE drinks this is your place! If it was t for a friend who thought it “looked cool” I would never step foot in this place. I felt like the cast of the Jersey Shore was gonna come out fist pumping at any moment. My beer was cold but also 3x the price of the one just down the road at other places still on 5th. The margarita tasted like Gatorade with mint and rum. I just don’t get it or why anyone would ever want to step foot in this place. Again this is probably the least favorite place I have ever been in my entire life but if you like jagerbombs it’s probably right up your alley.
Can’t blame staff though. They were very friendly

We were staying at a resort in Playa del Carmen and went to Patio 8 three days in a row we loved it so much. Twice for lunch and one time in the evening. We met the restaurant manager named Elizabeth and she was so incredibly nice and helpful. We all gave her a hug as we got in our taxi to leave Mexico! We stayed there for hours at lunch time and just had a blast listening to their great music playlist and drinking margaritas. All the food is incredible and really affordable. The atmosphere is also fantastic. I would travel back to Mexico just to hang out at Patio 8 all day long!

Charged $1500 pesos for 4 vodka sodas!! Looked like a nice place to have a late
Nite drink on my way home from dinner with a friend. We each (2 of us) had a grey goose and soda (singles). Bill was 1500 pesos - men use says $210/shot. My fault I suppose for not checking or paying attention. Realized I was charged double when I got home and too late. My advise. Check your bill 3 times before you pay!! Hopefully the extra went to someone who needed it more than me.

we were really hot. jorge set us up right in front of a fan. he was very friendly and fun to talk to. drinks were very good. nice atmosphere. the next day when my husband needed to use the restroom the host remembered him and let him in. it was nice. the restrooms have very good a/c. fun place.

Nice central location on busy street to people watch. Expensive ! Had a beer and a pina colada ( nothing special as mostly coconut milk );and nearly 300 pesos .
There are better deals at many nearby bars ( eg 2 for 1 cocktails)

While downtown Playa Del Carman walking around we spotted this Patio, so glad we choice it, such a welcoming spot to stop and have a bit to eat and a drink. Our waiter was Adan, very friendly. We ordered our beverages and food, and in no time it was at our table. Great open atmosphere , music was great, the place is very clean. We really enjoyed our afternoon lunch. Thank you
