If you are looking for authentic Mexican food and freshly brewed coffee near the Playa del Carmen town square, this is an excellent option. Best of all, it has air conditioning!!!

Not sure what’s happening at Andrade. Maybe new owners ? The attitude of the staff has changed and it’s not as welcoming as it used to be. It seems that loyal, long term customers are no longer welcome. Very sad !

You should try the soup - it's amazing! I ordered fish with veggie; the portion was huge and very testy! The coffee is good too!

I have been going to this restaurant when in Play for 20 years. It is a good consistent value and very good food. If you want fancy and high prices -- don't go here

Wandering around town looking for a new place to eat dinner and found Cafe Andrade. Nice menu selection - even a kids menu. The food was excellent and our server was friendly and efficient. We plan to go back to try breakfast.

Cafe Andrade may be the best place for high-end coffee beans and freshly ground coffee from the beans. Order a simple meal inside, on the patio or to go; and be sure to try the coffee. Centrally located helps this restaurant whether walking or driving...the center/centro of Playa del Carmen. It's on the south side of the central plaza/Plaza 28 de Julio.More

I came here last night and was happy with the decision. Had a few beers on their patio which looks at the municipal plaza of PDC. Ordered the hanger steak, which had plenty of flavor. The waiter was very friendly and we spoke for a...bit. Will definitely be back.More

My favourite restaurant when I have to go to the City Hall across the street there or when there is performance or festival in the municipal square or if I am in the area. Lots of civil servants linger there over coffee. The best bean...soup - smooth velvety like caramel but savoury, with a beautiful cheese pattern on top. It also offers Veracruz cruisine not commonly found. Its burritos are huge, two would be enough for lunch or supper. The best deal is its daily special of 90 pesos for half a jug of juice, soup, a choice of 2 entres, and coffee or dessert.More

This is the place to go that is a comfortable restaurant across from the Central Park of Playa. Great place to meet fellow travelers and friends. For Breakfast Lunch or Dinner you can always have a great meal and then walk across the street to...Walmart. Gieovana is a great waiter but also a wealth of information about the local area. The manager is a good man speaks good Spanish and English and always greets you with a smile.More

We've visited this cafe in Vera Cruz and found the coffee superb. It's the same here. Try the traditional "Lechero." Nice ambiance, coffee shop with plenty of room to sit and schmooze. Food, particularly pastries, is good.
