Horrible experience. Our intent was to have them cook our freshly caught fish....until they decided to steal it. Our captain handed our fish off to them to cook for us and they proceeded to tell me that the captain gave them the fish and it was not ours after we spent hours catching it. After much argument we were given... More

We were recommended to bring our catch here of Wahoo and Mahi Mahi by Pepe from fishing with Ivan. He advised that this is the best place in the area to authentically cook fresh fish and they were certainly right. Whilst the cafe is simple the chefs skills are not and he prepared both the Wahoo and Mahi Mahi in... More

We were also brought here by our fishing captain, Salas, for a most amazing meal of our fresh caught amberjack. My boyfriend and I were astounded by how simple, fresh and flavorful they made our meal of ceviche and tacos! We felt as though we were receiving the royal treatment as everybody at the restaurant even the chef came out... More

We came here following a fun filled morning fishing with our catch of Barracuda and Amberjack to be treated to one of the best meals we have had on our trip to date, and the freshest and tastiest ceviche I have tasted anywhere ever! Our waiter was friendly and attentive and they also made some magnificent margaritas - nothing like... More

wether you caught your fish yourself or are just looking for some AMAZING ceviche or fish tacos this is the place. The service is GREAT and the prep is equally amazing. Many times they have prepared our catches and no matter the fish (amberjack, barracuda , sail fish or mahi) it has always been done to perfection

My friends and I stayed at Playa Palms hotel and we ate lunch from Amaranto almost everyday. Gabriel was the server who came over to take care of us, he was great, even set up our beach chairs and umbrellas! The food was tasty and drinks were good. We decided to go over to Indigo Beach club one day to... More

We booked a Fishing Trip on the Beach and went out with Chino and Toni where we had Four Hours Fishing in the Morning. The same price for a Boat for Four that our Hotel wanted each. We set out about 8am and went down the coast passed Xcaret and we caught Two Barracuda. We returned to the Amaranto Bistro... More

We stayed at Playa Palms and was visited every day by a nice gentleman from Amaranto, who brought us delicious drinks at the beach. He suggested we visit his place, and we did. And boy, are we glad we did! The food was fantastic, some of the best we've had in Playa. If you've considered or tried Indigo Beach, try... More

We spent a few days at the beach here. It’s a small place right next to Indigo. There are boats out front but the beach is nice and you can walk a long ways in either direction along the beach. Loungers were padded and comfortable, with umbrellas. We had breakfast once and were not too impressed. There was no syrup... More
