This place is always packed and for good reason. It's cheap, delicious, good quality, and worth your time.

All six of us ordered various tacos. Two of us also ordered charro beans - and were nice enough to share with everyone else. In US we are accustomed to pinto beans being used in charros. At El Fogon though they use some type of flat beans along with small pieces of sliced ham, subtle spices and accompany the beans... More

Still our favorite place to eat on our annual visit to Playa. Have tried many places but keep returning here. The food is delicious, good service, and very reasonable prices. Only complaint is the waiting lines seem to be getting longer but well worth it. Cant wait till next year.

Came here a few times for great, good priced Al Pastor tacos and drinks! Simple, great, authentic food. Always a good vibe, but do expect to wait in line a little.

El Fogon is a mini adventure in itself, you line up on the street waiting for a table as the joint has limited seating , starving as you stare at the diners lucky enough to get there before you chow down on delicious tortillas, nopales, carnitas, asadas, and the best charro beans I have ever eaten. Seriously, people rave about... More

We stopped after shopping in Playa. The pork is amazing. The combination plates were more than ample and the chorizo quesadilla was great too.

Wife and stopped in on Feb 14. Food is as advertised. If you are in Playa-make a point to stop. Tough will be glad you did

Our friends have raved about this place, one of their "must stop" when they come to town. Just a couple of blocks off 5th Ave, it was an easy walk. We stopped in for an early dinner and was greeted by a smiling waitress in a jam-packed dining room filled with tourists and locals alike. The waitress spoke great English... More

yeah...this is the place you need to go to to get some authentic tacos in Playa! It is a total locals spot, but nobody looked cross-eyed at us when we walked in...very inexpensive and very delicious!
