We went to Hechizo to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the tasting menu. Everything was absolutely delicious and service is unbelievably good. They take food and service there very seriously. Everything, including the breads and desserts are made there. It is a place to go for a special occasion

This restaurant has a patio with stairs that lead directly down to the beach...a walk under the stars, listening to the waves, is a perfect way to cap off a brilliant meal. The food was interesting and well-executed, and the service attentive.

We ate here twice during our week stay. We found the food to be excellent and the service great. It is a nice clean atmosphere with attention to detail. We have eaten at many fine restaurants in Europe and the U.S., you won't find food more well prepared anywhere else. We made changes to the menu that were embraced by... More

We've been to Tulum twice now and tend to avoid a lot of the beach restaurants as they are over-priced compared to the great local food available. Hechizo is an exception and definitely worth the splurge. My wife and I joined another couple for a dinner and it was an excellent meal. Definitely recommended.

I've made four or five trips to Hechizo now and this lovely place, run by Stefan and his wife, Hui, is truly a treasure. Yes, it is expensive, and those who complain about the price obviously didn't do their homework. But in my opinion, it is totally worth every penny. I like good food and I'm willing to spend the... We had reservation at Hechizo our first Saturday in Tulum on our 10-day anniversary celebration. Our cab runs just a few minutes from our hotel and let us off at Rancho san Erik's door. It was quite desert, but they showed us to a cozy, romantic alcove where we had a great view of the kitchen and the rest of... More

I was so impressed with both the food and the service here. It is a small restaurant right on the beach, owned by the head chef and his wife who is also the pastry chef. Stefan himself comes to each table, kneels to your level, and walks you through the menu. You can just tell how passionate he is about... More

Totally over expensive, zero atmosphere and nothing special. The food was ok, some dish very good, but this is not what we were expecting from a Tulum restaurant. Good service.

We had a fantastic meal at Hechizo on our last visit to Tulum. The linguini with truffles was a standout and local fish was perfectly cooked and well sauced. The service is was impeccable and the chef was very personable. However, the wine list doesn't stand up to the food. Wear your flowing white linen for dramatic effect.
