Delicious gourmet lunches in a stunning location in Allihies. We got lovely packed lunches for our group which we ate on the beautiful hills overlooking Allihies on the Copper mine trail. Lovely outdoor seating at the back as well as we stopped in for hot...chocolate afterwards and the group found the museum visit really interesting. Friendly and helpful staff, thanks Tara and team!More

We stopped for lunch here having travelled most of the Beara Way. What a beautiful, clean, bright and airy café. Our tuna salad, fish chowder and home cooked ham lunches were the best that we've had in a long time. The staff are so pleasant...and friendly and the views on the sunny day were spectacular. We're definitely returning again this summerMore

We always make a point of dropping in here for lunch when in the area as we are never disappointed. The staff are always welcoming, friendly & efficient & there is never a delay in getting our order even when it's busy. The food is...always so fresh & tasty & the cakes tantalisingly tempting. The indoor seating is bright & pristine & the outdoor seating captures the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. So it's always a must for us to drop in here & we'd highly recommend it!More

We were lucky enough that the sun shone and allowed us to enjoy the views from the outside seating area. Absolutely stunning location. Staff were friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Very clean and felt very safe with regard to Covid regulations. Food was beautifully presented and...tasted as good as it looked. The weather was actually too warm (not complaining) to have the highly recommended chowder but we will be back! Thank you for a lovely memorable visit.More

We dropped in here for lunch & were so glad we did as it turned out to be a lovely bright space, with great food & very pleasant, welcoming staff. We ordered open sandwiches & salads & everything was fresh, tasty & very well presented...in a jiffy. The whole place was pristinely clean & it was very reassuring to see they were adhering to all the Health & Safety regulations regarding the Corona virus, which is so important to keep us all safe. So full marks to the Copper Cafe & we'd definitely drop in again when in the area & would highly recommend it!More

We have been going there for over two years and have always had a good experience but our two most recent visits have been badly spoiled by the extremely rude and unpleasant attitude of the man at the reception desk and we are asking for...his removal. While he is there we will not be visiting again. Catherine and Martin SullivanMore

We visited The Copper Cafe last weekend while the town was extremely busy. The food we ate was nice but nothing special. Just a regular toastie & soup.

The man in reception or at the desk of the cafe was rude, obnoxious and unwelcoming. Not a pleasant visit. Gave us snarky remarks and staring at us. Would not recommend. My family members arrived to the cafe a few minutes after we had and claimed...to have also had a bad experience.More

Sat in a lovely patio area out the back with stunning views. However the food was poor quality & the soup was extremely poor. Unfortunately I wouldn't return to this particular cafe, perhaps the lack of competiton is permitting the high prices & low quality...which is such a pity.More

This sweet place is located at the base of the Main Street in Allihies, and offers the visitor more than just a place to have a bite to eat. The Copper Mine Museum is both affordable and informative and a must for anyone who wants...to understand the archeological aspects of the area and the people who mined it. Having had ancestors who lived and worked in this area before the famine forced them to leave for America, I found the museum a wonderfully informative resource for a branch of our family tree. I also spent many hours sitting in the cafe enjoying lunch, coffee drinks, and the overall ambience and welcoming nature as I worked to sketch a view from one of the beautiful windows. An aside, this building was a church at one time and the cathedral style windows make it very open, bright and comforting as one has a view of the surrounding mountains, ocean as well as grazing cows and sheep. Finally, enough cannot be said about the staff, who are friendly, helpful and just make you feel welcome and valued.More
