This restaurant is situated on a beautiful part of the beach. I had a salad with goat cheese and my husband had the fish taco. Both were very well presented and tasted very fresh. More upscale than other restaurants in the area but a nice treat.

We were able to go three times on our last trip to Zipolite. Each time a very warm and inviting location makes it a great evening, whether your just having drinks or a full dinner. The food is always consistently good and reliable. The only thing is they need a couple more servers or someone dedicated to only working the... More

We went to El Alquimista based on our impression from the last time we were there. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre. Will not visit again

The place is really nice, the menu has many options and the service is great! Some of the plates are not as tasty as expected, but they are good. Is a great option for couples or groups.

We were expecting better things here but we were a little disappointed. The appetizer, bruschetta with jamón serrano, was really good, but dinner was average. It was also very dark. Bathroom was a bit gross as well.

I would recommend for lunch or breakfast but did not enjoy our dinner. The mescal and ginger were not cooked out of the sauce for the dorado. :(

Had a lovely seafood dinner here, great ambiance, candles and lanterns along the beach. Food was very good. Also enjoyed a nice breakfast , fruit/yogurt/granola bowl, and a nice latte made for a nice start to a lovely day.

Excellent spot on the beach. We had the pizza and it didn't thrill us, but another diner had the tuna and loved it.

We walked down the beach from our hotel to eat here and it was wonderful. Higher in price than the other restaurants we tried in town, but the location on the beach was fabulous! Each table was lit by candles and the tables are on the sand, a wonderful evening! The food was very good. We had steak and pasta... More
