We had a BBQ which was great quality and beautifully prepared - everyone really enjoyed it! We had a band playing music and when they... More

We were glamping in Giltraps on Saturday night and we strolled over to the pub for the evening. The place quickly filled up and there was a great atmosphere and the music was brilliant. I'm surprised there wasn't people up dancing. It was a great night and we'll definitely be calling in again when we're staying on the glamping site... More

Friends and I stumbled upon this pub after a journey through the mountains. Really cute place, with nice patrons, and a great barman (John)- a definite must stop! Felt like home :)

Had a very warm welcome and lovely stay in one of the log cabins recently. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast hamper delivered to the door in the morning was a great touch, much needed after wedding festivities the night before and well worth the minimal cost of EUR 7.50. I got a great welcome in the morning from... More

Our family had a great experience and pleasant sleep in our Mongolian Yurt. The kids loved the experience and waking up early to fetch the eggs from the chicken coop was a highlight for them! Great location for a trip to do a little hill walking or visit to Lough Boora parklands, Birr castle or Tullamore. Breakfast served to the... More

Nice pub. Friendly staff and locals. Large screen tv shows sports, though I'm sure they'd switch to put Fair City on if you asked. Lovely free sandwiches passed around both night we were there. Local brew Bobristle well worth a try.
