My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Chamonix. We were brought warm bread with olive tapenade which was very nice. She had the fig salad and I had the Chamonix salad and both were superb. My wife had the sea bas which was outstanding....More

Neither the food nor the service warranted more than three stars. Our biggest issue was that the menu was extremely limited, with only three entrees, two of which were pastas.

We went out with our friends who raise their own beef and have complained about trying to get a good steak in Mexico. The menu and wine list are all shown on chalk boards and were in Spanish and English. The rioja we ordered was...More

This is our 9th year to spend two months in SMA and we always go to Chamonix a few times. Last week I was a little disappointed in my pasta with shrimp, which was tasty, but there were only 3 medium-size shrimp. Last night I...More

Dinner in the dining room by the fire on a cool night was absolutely lovely. Service and food were both excellent. Highly recommend!

We have dined here for many years. The food is spectacular and served graciously. We have held events in the garden patio with everyone saying it was the best dining experience in SMA..going to miss Anna’s artichoke soup when we go home...,

We ordered a few days ahead of time, their superb stuffed chile poblanos with cilantro sauce ( not on the menu) and they prepared them for us. Excellent food and excellent service. They aim to please. The interiors somehow remind me of provincial France, the...More

I had a gift certificate to Chamonix, a restaurant I have patronized in the past. I have lived in San Miguel for 12 years. There was no expiration date on the certificate. I invited some local friends to dinner and when the bill came, the...More

This afternoon I called this restaurant to which I had been to before, to make a dinner reservation for a party of 4. A male voice answered the line. I asked if this was Chamonix but unfortunately mispronounced the name. The man was extremely rude...More

This is a quiet intimate restaurant tucked away from the street. It is the type of place locals frequent when they want a special evening. The menu is european and our meals were quite good. We also appreciated the attentive service.

Chef Ana Lilia Galindo serves up a globe-spanning menu in Chamonix's cozy, hearth-warmed dining room. The specialty here is the aptly named Swiss fillet— medallions of beef wrapped in ham and cheese. But frequent fliers will also be pleased by traditional Mexican dishes like beef-stuffed poblano chiles, spicy Sri Lankan curry, Vietnamese spring rolls, and an array of fresh pastas. In fine weather, the pretty outdoor terrace is a lovely place to linger.
