Great view on the edge of the St Lawrence side. Hearty lunch with lobster roll and beer. Do sit outside

Rusty Anchor is in Pleasant Bay just outside Cape Breton Park. On a nice day, I would recommend eating on their outside deck which overlooks the water from a high bluff. The seafood is excellent. We recommend their Fisherman's Platter which has scallops, haddock, mussels and shrimp! By the time we arrived at the restaurant around Noon, the sun was... More

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch on a day driving around the Cape Breton Highlands park. We had been in Nova Scotia for nearly a week, and I had yet to have my first lobster roll. Rusty Anchor's lobster rolls were delicious and very meaty. I was not disappointed.

If it's a nice day sit outside and enjoy the view. Great mussels and seafood. Lobster rolls. We always stop here when on the Cabot trail.

A good lunch stop as you travel through the National Park. Located at the far North of Cape Breton this was another good seafood stop. Normally you have to accept below standard fare when in parks, but this food was actually good. We each had a sandwich, I had a cup of chowder and drinks for about $45 US.

Excellent spot for seafood on the Cabot trail. Very fresh, bet the little critters were in the ocean that morning. The fisherman's platter showcased what the region has to offer. Great service.

If your driving the Cabot trail, on the west coast of Cape Breton Island in Pleasant Bay is the Rusty Anchor Restaurant. Let me sum this up by saying-great food and great view. But...the best lobster roll of our two week trip was hear. The roll was fresh and lightly toasted and absolutely stuffed.... with lobster with lots of butter-no... More

Rode the world famous Cabot Trail, on the Harley, and we stopped in for lunch. We had the fish and chips and it was so good, the next weekend we drove the 100 miles just to enjoy it again. Love Love Love it!

Stopped here with my husband and daughter mid afternoon on a Sunday. We waited 30 minutes and hadn't even gotten a "hello here is a water". So we left. Don't go if you are hungry or have a hungry child. Glad I packed a snack. Also glad we were on the way to a great dinner at the "All Aboard"... More
