We visited the Karma last night and it was excellent from start to finish . We were in at 17:30 so it wasn't busy .we were seated straight away and our drinks were served within minutes of our ordering them . .Firstly the staff in this place are superb ,,really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu . Secondly the food is simply amazing . My partner had a starter of haggis fritters with a dipping sauce which she said was amazing ,i had potato nuggets in a light batter with mushrooms in a light curry sauce ( sounds really simple ) it was one of the nicest things ive ever tasted . For mains my partner had south indian garlic chicken with pilau rice and garlic and coriander nann ,i had chicken jaipuri with the same nann and both of us loved everything . My partner couldnt face a pudding but i had the gulab jamon and it was beautiful ,the big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top was pure quality . With all the above mentioned food we had two lemonades and two pints of beer and the bill was only £58 and for the whole atmosphere and quality of the food i thought this was an absolute bargain. I wouldnt hesitate in reccomending the Karma to anyone

Visited here for dinner for my son’s birthday. Everyone had a beautiful meal and I even had alcohol free cobra lager which was lush! Highly recommended and will definitely be back. All staff were also very knowledgeable regarding food and drink

Polite and helpful staff. I wasn’t sure what to order as I don’t enjoy a lot of spice and the waiter recommended the Masaledar, it was delicious! My partner had the bhoona and really enjoyed his too. The Chicken is so tender, we will definitely be back.

This was booked for 9 of us on Christmas Day away back in April. £49.00 per person. On Christmas Eve they called us to ask us to change our meal time from 4.00pm until 5.00pm we said no as we had plans for after it. They then said could we attend at 4.30pm we eventually agreed. We were all there for 4.15pm and told to wait at the bar. We eventually got seated at 5.05pm. The table wasn’t very Christmassy and had very cheap and poor crackers on it. The other downfall was that we had a long table and at the end was a circle table attached to it for three of us to sit at. Getting a drink to the table was virtually impossible my dad ordered a drink three times and it never came. We ended up having to go to the bar to get served. It was busy but there seemed to be plenty of staff who should have been able to cope with the demand. The starters took a while to come and we had also ordered extra things for the table like poppadoms, spiced onions and chicken chatt, I’m glad we did as the starters were very small and we were all starving. Can’t complain about the taste of any of the starters as they were all delicious. The mains then came and the people who had turkey said the turkey was nice along with the stuffing but there was too small potatoes the carrots and Brussels were inedible as they were so hard. And the portions were very small. In fact all the main portions were very small we had also ordered lots of different nan’s the peshwari was delicious. The desserts the cheesecake was one of the best I have ever tasted and was the best part of the meal. The others had Christmas pudding and couldn’t eat it as they all said it was disgusting. Overall for what we paid including drinks and the extra’s it was nearly £700 and certainly not worth that.

Grabbed a few dishes from here as our usual place was closed. The food was decent and you can’t go too wrong with a garlic naan. However, when splashing out for an Indian takeaway the Bay Leaf still wins it for me

Having just moved to the area, we decided to give this place first chance for our regular custom. We ordered our typical order, chicken pasanda and a south Indian garlic chili chicken. Plus usual rice, nan and a cauliflower starter. The starter was actually the best part of the meal, and actually the mains were ok, but the chicken was clearly not fresh. Tough and not good quality. Vastly overpriced at over £30 for the meal, we won't be back at that price.

We arrived mid evening to find that the restaurant was completely empty and it remained so during the course of our meal.
The service was polite and superficially pleasant with a sleightly patronising feel to it.This included what could best be described as waffle. The waiter appearing abit to keen to push sales and his own recommended dishes.
He responded to our sharing a rice by stating that rice was such an individual choice. The inference being buy two different ones which was further backed up with him informing us that it was very small portion anyway.Due to not being terribly hungry the advice was ignored on both counts and the original choice stood
His insistening that the portions were very small did however prove to be entirely correct. Overpriced and bland the rice was worth half the money at best, being presented in a mold that was approximately the size of a small China tea cup.
The food can only be described as bland with a chicken dish that had a very poor consistency and appearance.
The sauce was thick and had poorly cooked onion and pepper thrown into the mix
Similarly the vegetarian option was also bland and had an unpleasant texture.
Of some note I have had an extremely upset stomach within an hour after eating here.
I do not conclusively claim that it was due to eating here. However I feel that it is worth adding and will leave readers to draw their own conclusions.

Lovely restaurant with great food & welcoming atmosphere! We had a lovely meal on valentines night, we both ordered a curry each with pakora & chicken chaat to start. The serving staff were very knowledgable about the menu & attentitive to us throughout the evening. The food was the star of the show - everything was so delicious! Can’t recommend karma enough, we will definitely be back soon

Karma deserves every single bit of praise and more that has been mentioned on here. It’s also clear to see why they have won so many awards.
The food and service were outstanding from start to finish. Staff were very attentive, helpful and happy to offer advice and answer any questions about the menu. The tandoori ribs for starter were cooked perfectly and likewise the main meal of chicken tikka tandoori masala was full of flavour and very high quality. Dessert menu had a variety of choices but myself and my wife both opted for the chocolate melt. Again, very very good.
The whole experience from start to finish was memorable and I can honestly say this is up there with one of the best places I have visited. Will definitely be back again!

Absolutely fantastic experience for a couple of first timers.
We both love Indian food and had been recommended this for my girlfriends birthday.
I’m glad we booked it but I’m sorry I’ve missed out on this place all these years. It’s right on my doorstep with only a 10 minute drive. The car park around the back just isn’t big enough for how busy the restaurant is. It’s a very large place and mostly booked full. So it was just by chance there was 1 space available when we drove into the car park. Watch out for broken glass! Hopefully it’s not like that all the time.
The entrance is very nice and welcoming. As soon as you walk through the doors from the chill of the outside you walk into a nice warm environment.
The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I think in total we had 4 servers take care of us. Which must have been hard work for everyone considering every table in the place was full and also they were busy with takeaways.
The starter was very nice and we shared the chicken pakora. Not long after the main arrived, presented very well from the waiter. Big portions for both of us, and difficult to finish it all.
Then dessert arrived….. AMAZING. The chocolate melt done exactly that, melted in my mouth and was highly enjoyable.
It may have been our first time, but it definitely will not be our last. We plan to make this a regular occurrence when we fancy eating out at an Indian.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to give it a try.

Celebrated birthday with family and friends and was a really enjoyable night out.
Food was amazing and plenty to choose from the menu. I asked for a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by a king prawn dish that was made for me too.
There was another birthday party, as well as many other tables filled on a week day evening and didn’t deter from a great and friendly service.
I highly recommend this restaurant and worth booking a table.
Enjoy.

We called in on way home from Livingston on the hoof and were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and informal and the restaurant itself is clean and welcoming. The food was delicious, we had poppadoms with spiced onions, chicken pakora, chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka rogan josh, rice and garlic nan as well as movenpick ice cream. The food quality is excellent and was piping hot. All positive and will definitely return but a set early evening menu would be a welcome addition.

We are locals, and regular Karma visitors. Sitting in or takeaway, the food is always first class. The staff are great, always friendly and helpful. Had many curries around the UK, but none beat the Karma. Always bring far-off work colleagues here, if they are in the vicinity, and every one has been more than impressed, also.

Been once before and will visit again and again.
Realised walkable from our house, added bonus.
Service is spot on from the very moment you arrive. Food is hot, fresh and mega tasty!
Great value for money, although don’t think it’s a cheap night as food is too tasty to walk away with one course.
Definitely be back
