Exactly what a beach bar/restaurant should be. We drove here for breakfast after a surf lesson 15 minutes away. There is a giant parking lot behind it where you can park for roughly 40 pesos. It’s where all the beach vendors park.
To avoid those beach vendors, choose a table on the balcony as opposed to tables in the sand. There is shade up there.
The staff is great and happy to recommend food and drink. The fruit plate comes with granola and yogurt, can be a meal in itself. The quesadillas and nachos were fantastic.
We liked it so much we came back again the next day.
So so many different drinks to try. The music ranges from '70s with sometimes a dash of '80s.
And that’s what a beach bar/restaurant is supposed to be - drinks, food, people watching, nice music and the sea as your backdrop.

In early December 2021, my wife and I had dinner at Tabasco. We had eaten there a few times before over the years. We were staying at a nearby resort and it is only a short walk to Tabasco. It is becoming our tradition that when we stay at that particular resort, we go to Tabasco on the first night of our trip, in part because it is so convenient, and in part because the food is quite good and relatively inexpensive. I love to be able to put my feet in the sand and look out over the bay and see the boats illuminated by the moonlight.
On this particular occasion, however, the place was packed and there were no available tables in the sand. I was somewhat surprised because when we have gone to Tabasco in the past, it usually hasn't been very crowded. My wife and I had to sit up on the deck, which turned out to be fine. We each ordered the tortilla soup and we split an order of shrimp tacos. Tabasco makes some of the best tortilla soup in all of Cabo and their shrimp dishes are wonderful. The service was very good, and we had a great time.
It was a wonderful start to our trip. We will return.

This is a great beach bar! We walked to Médano Beach every day for 2 months and enjoyed cold beer, margarita’s, great tacos and amazing Cobb salad. They will bring your food to you wherever you are set up on the beach 🏖. Friendly staff and good service. 🇲🇽😎🌊🌶

Stumbled, actually, on this place after spending time on the beach. We had arrived at 11 to the beach and parked at the public lot that is next to this restaurant. We didn't get far and were approached about renting an umbrella for the day which we did. I believe our beers came from this restaurant during the afternoon and were delivered to us with a bag of ice each time. We then decided to eat at the restaurant because it was easy to get to. We were surprised at how good it was. First it was 2-1 drinks and they were huge! The guacamole was fresh and had good chips with it. My husband had the shrimp ceviche and I had a grilled chicken sandwich that I think was called the California. The flavor of the chicken marinade was so good. It is annoying that they vendors from the beach enter the restaurant but of course some patrons were shopping with them so then all came in. Next time I think we would try to get one of the lounge chairs in front of the restaurant and stay all day! (pictured)

Excellent service! Excellent food! Dinner on the beach!
We brought them fresh tuna from our fishing trip which they prepared 5 ways for our dinner.
Grilled, blackened, garlic broiled, ceviche and carpaccio with jalapeños. Served with rice, beans and steamed veggies.
Our kids aren’t big fish fans but they all loved it!

Loved Tabasco! Paula and Effren were the perfect hosts. We visited every day we werent on a boat. We had meals, drinks and swimming all day. The fresh bass tacos were made to perfection with handmade tortillas! Best spot on the beach for fun.

We had to go up to bar to get our drinks. Then asked if we could get food and they said you had to order from waiter. He helped two other parties but ignored us one time saying he would come back but did not. Finally we talked to manager and got our guacamole after almost an hour of waiting. It was good food, but after waiting that we will not go back and don't recommend it to anyone that asks. Also be warned their 2 for 1 deal is they give two shots of alcohol in the drink, not that you get two drinks for the price of 1.

Located on a fantastic stretch of beach, this beach bar and restaurant needs a rejuvenation. Still busy, the beach bar is run down. The kitchen does not put out much of a menu but I will add the grilled fish taco was decent. We found the blended drinks lacking in flavour and booze as compared to other spots in the area. The people watching here is entertaining ... add a cold beer, a fish taco or three, on a gorgeous beach and in great weather? This place can work.

We loved the pizza it was thin crust with great flavor sauce and toppings. Me and my wife had pina coladas $8 and they tasted very good with real coconut. The pizza was about $20 and enough for two people. The restaurant is located on the beach right next to the Pueblo Bonito (Rose) resort in Cabo.

On the quiet side of Medano, we sat a down on a couple of lounge chairs (be sure to bring your own towels), were asked if we wanted an umbrella. We said a little later as we wanted to get some sun. Ordered two cheeseburgers for lunch, somewhat decent with good fries and toppings.
After lunch, we asked for the umbrella, we were told it would cost us $15. This is not customary, lounge chairs and umbrellas typically come with ordering lunch. Who knows if they would have added $15 more to our bill as others have said, there are so many other places with better food and offerings, this place should be bypassed.

Stumbled upon this place while walking along the beach. Happy Hour 2x1 from 7 am - 6 pm so we had to stop!! You can choose to sit on the covered beach area or the deck. After enjoying a couple of Modelos (2 for around $5.25), we ordered a pepperoni pizza to share. Pizza was less than $15 and absolutely delicious! Perfect for 2 people. You could clearly tell it was cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. They have the option of thin crust but the regular crust was amazing! 2x1 Mudslides (2 for around $7) - a nice, boozy treat to finish off our meal!

We recently spent an afternoon here enjoying the beach, the food, and some beer. Whenever we come to Cabo we stop by Tobasco's. The food and service are wonderful and it is the perfect place to enjoy the beach, kids can build sandcastles, take a dip in the water, and relax.

Tabasco Bar is one of the last of its kind. There aren’t too many beach bars left in Cabo where you can get a beach lounge chair on the beach for free. By free I mean you just need to drink and or eat to lay down for free. Most other places are more structured and you need to spend 100 or so dollars for the use of their chair. It’s got great location “ on the beach “
The food and drink is good and not over priced. The staff is courteous and friendly.

Tabasco is a casual restaurant on Medano Beach. During the day it’s more bar than restaurant but it’s quite subdued evenings and family friendly. Dining is “toes in the sand” on plastic patio furniture with tables covered by tablecloths. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The shrimp entrees are excellent. Don’t be afraid to make special requests as long as you know the Spanish translation.

We walked to Tabasco one evening and we were the only ones on the deck. Service was wonderful and staff was very warm. 99% of the food we had in Cabo has always been bland, but Tabasco offered some amazing food! We had the poblano soup, steak/lobster, caesar salad and the most incredible, crispy, charred yet juicy chicken wings! We will def be back!
