We stopped here on our final night in Costa Rica due to staying near by with an early am flight. The food is absolutely horrible. I got the tacos which were said to have a secret hot sauce- they were smothered in soggy lettuce and mayonnaise. The taco shells were very burnt and the portions extremely small. I told the... More

After our third visit I confirmed they service is really poor and the food is pretty average. I gave the restaurant 3 opportunities but the service went down every time I return. Our food was cold and took over 30 minutes to be served the last ocassion. There are other mexican restaurants that definitely deserved a try in San Jose,... More

It's got a fun, open-air atmosphere. It's in a mall and you can walk between it and the several other restaurants in the mall. Small tequila section, but good representation. A little pricey ($20 USD for a shot of Patron). Then, after we'd bought a round of shots at $20 USD per shot, they offered us a special on the... More

Our party of 4 adults and 2 small children were met by a gentleman with a large umbrella to shield us from the hot midday sun. (The ladies and children got to enjoy that shade for the short walk to the entrance. I enjoyed Camerónes de la Diable. When the waitress asked if I wanted the sauce on the side,... More

The food is good, not great. Service is pretty good. Recommended! Try the gringa and the horchata. Very good! The spicy sauces are not that spicy

The food was great, I ordered the verde enchiladas, The service was so-so and the place was very clean. The lunch was 7000 colones, about 14.00, but when the bill arrived I asked how much and he said "24.00"! I replied "How much!?!" as I was kind of surprised and he then replied "27.00"!! I did not ask again...:) I... More

San José is very expensive for a city that lives way behind many things. The price is an issue here.

I visited the Tacontento restaurant a few days a go, I went for a late lunch and enjoyed the visit. The restaurant is well located, in the inside of the Antares food-mall offers an ok selection of seats in the first or second floor (that was closed that day) and even a small deck at the entrance but the deck...
