This place is awesome! Divine little family run restaurant (brothers front of house, sister in the kitchen) set in a charming vaulted ex-grain store that is always full (mostly of locals - says it all really) so it's advisable to book in advance. The starters are usually what our meals here consist of - they are numerous and as other... More

The Michelin guide recommended this place and on a day trip to the town we decided to take them up on it. I was a bit put out at first that the waiter almost insisted on us ordering the appetisers and when I asked for a glass of wine, he brought me the bottle and said I could have more... More

While visiting friends who live in San Severo, they took us to lunch at La Fossa today. We dined for well over two hours, sampling multiple appetites, first and second courses. Everything from the service to each bite was absolutely flawless. I can't imagine the most particular food critic being anything less than dazzled by this upscale, boutique restaurant. If... More

If your idea is an endless journey among tens of mouth-watering appetizers, this is the right place for you. After all these appetizers you might not even be able to taste their incredible "primi piatti". Also desserts were worth a try ( if you are not able to decide which desserts suits you most, ask for a combined plate made... More

A great place for a meal. The hosts recommended some delightful meals. They were attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. The antipasto brilliant. The decor and atmosphere great. Readily recommended.

I can't do anything, but recommend this place. The endless sequence of delicious antipasti will make you forget the troubles of life. In the historical center of San Severo, we stopped on our way to Gargano beaches. Really worth a visit if you are not on a tight budget

I loved all the dishes. My friends ordered for me, since by now they figured out what I like. I loved the different types of bread and enjoyed the pasta. I also noticed there wasn't an empty table anywhere. It was a Thursday evening and people kept walking in and out. Great for people watching since it was a busy... More

Just ask this hospitable family to feed you. Menu not needed. Excellent local wines. This is what keeps visitors coming to Italy again and again!

This family-run restaurant served a splendid Sunday pranzo with aplomb and style, personality and kindness, and thoughtfulness. The space is a lovely vaulted-ceiling room opening onto an intimate garden.

We L-O-V-E this place!! It's one of the best Italian restaurants that we enjoyed on our week+ trip. We almost missed it too b/c we arrived late due to very heavy March rains that delayed our drive up from Foggia. But they stayed open late to feed us and it was fabulous!! I have honestly never been offered so many... More
