The service and prices at Las Ranas cannot be beat! We went twice for lunch. The cochinita is so moist and delicious. The taco arabe melts in your mouth. I think that most everything was pork, and they don't offer chicken. The grilled onions are the only veggies available, and worth the few cents. We would enjoy a full lunch... More

Without question, a trip highlight dining at Las Ranas. The tacos arabes were to die for and well priced. The staff in the restaurant are super quick and friendly. Compared to the other restaurants in Puebla City, I found this one to be incredibly cheap for the amount of food you get. I always left feeling satisfied. Average meal per... More

What else do you need to know? Las Ranas has 2 locations, located diagonally across the street from each other. You may have to line up for a table, but even on the Sep 16 holiday when we went, the staff managed to get tables cleared and people seated quite quickly. You will be given a paper menu where you... This place brings so memories, I like the way they cook the meat, the tortillas taste very delicious, and pretty much everything they serve here taste very fresh, and like homemade, it's like your mom, or grandma are cooking and you just came to visit, that's how it feels in here, you sure won't leave this place with an empty... Las Ranas is hopping. Heh heh. Pun intended. They basically serve seasoned pork in your choice of tortilla or bread. That's it. Basic and oh so delicious. We were lucky and got the very last table but when we left there were at least 6 people waiting for a table. Be prepared to wait. It's worth it. Oh and order... More

What a great food! Arabe was fantastic and so was queso con pastor, melted cheese with pastor meat on top. The tacos are some of the best we've had in Mexico. The service is awful, they only move fast to take your order. If you want to order more or if you want to pay, suddenly none of the six... More

The taco árabe is the best, but this popular restaurant is a true local institution. It is full many times, but the food and the price are worth to wait.

This neighborhood place fills up with people of all ages and sizes. It is no frills, both in ambiance or service, but the food is delicious and cheap and the people-watching top-notch. We loved it, and found ourselves stopping in several times during our stay in Puebla. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. YUM!

The Tacos Al Pastor were amazing! The hot fresh tortillas were the best tortillas I've ever had--which is saying a lot because I live in Mexico and eat fresh tortillas frequently. They were very inexpensive. This place can't be beat.

Description
It is located just around the corner of the street 5 de Mayo in Puebla (the most important walking street) It is 2 restaurants.. one right across the other.
They specialize in tacos but they serve a few other dishes too.
It is by far the best tacos in the city and I have invited friends from Greece, Norway and all over Mexico and everyone loves them so I can't understand why they aren't listed in tripadvisor yet. They are the best known tacos in the city I am sure
