Do not get me wrong , my husband and I love Mexican cuisine. However, you can only eat so many tacos and burritos before you need a break! El Sultan is the perfect alternative, delicious traditional middle eastern food. We shared a falafel dip plate as a starter, the hummus was perfection... I had a falafel salad, it was simple... This place is fantastic! There are two locations - one on Zicatela and one up by Carrizalillo. The falafel and hummus are delicious - we went several times during our stay.

Great healthy falafel and they sell tasty fresh hummus to take away for a really low price (250g for 35 pesos). Chilled atmosphere and great food.

Overall a good place to eat. Service is okay and the food could be better. The hummus was a bit lumpy, dry and flavorless. The tabbouli was okay. The chicken shawarma was decent although it had a bit of a different flavor from what we are used to. We live near Dearborn, MI which has large Middle Eastern community and... More

My wife thought the food was a little greasy - but I barely noticed... maybe a bit too much oil on the humus. Still, after days/weeks of seafood & Mex cuisine, this place was refreshing and tasty and cheap too.
