There is no question that El Galeon is a nice place. We ate there with friends and had a good meal. The problem I have with Galeon is it not a good value. Service is good the atmosphere is good the food is good but the price is double what it should be. The wine prices were outrageous. A seven... More

Highly recommend this place for dinner. The service and the food are very good. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the food selection is good. The seating is in the marina overlooking the water and boats.

After eating in Zihua a few nights, wanted to dine in Ixtapa. This was a delightful choice. Had a table overlooking the water, nice open air feel (with overhead fans if you choose), food was very good as was the bottle of red wine we ordered. The service was delightful as well! We went on a Monday night...so it was... More

Walked to the marina from the Amara looking for some nice seafood. The ambiance was great. The staff was great and attentive, however, that does not make up for the fact that our food was lukewarm at best. If it would not have taken another 30 minutes to get our food, it would have been sent back. I won't be... More

This is one of your best meals in Ixtapa for a great price. We had the beef tenderloin and shared Caesar salad. Caesar salad was excellent and made tableside a Mexican tradition. Service was attentive and top notch. Eric was our server and he was fantastic. We forgot our bag when we left and he chased us down the road... More

Two of our party ordered the surf and turf with lobster, only to have the waiter come back to our table and inform us that they had no small lobsters available and my friends would have to share one large lobster. But when the food arrived, it was obvious that the "large" lobster wasn't very large, and each of them... More

The atmosphere was great with you feeling like you're on a boat for starters. The staff was friendly and knew exactly how to put together the meal. The taste of the food was great and my steak came to me exactly how I had ordered it. I wound recommend this restaurant to anyone going into Ixtapa for a change from... More

We had a relaxing dinner experience, surrounded with soft music and the decor of an old sailing ship. Staff were very friendly & accommodating, making for a wonderful experience. The food was better than average & everyone in our party of 8 was completely satisfied with their meals, which ranged from surf & turf to ribeye steak. We'd all go... More

We go here every time in Ixtapa! The soup, seafood casserole and seafood are all delectable. Garlic cheese bread and Mexican coffee are among our favorites as well. Have been going there since it opened and it is better every year!!

The servers were friendly, the food was excellent, and I loved the decor. It was a quiet night and we were the only ones at the restaurant which always makes me wonder if it is a good place to eat but we liked the menu so decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! We would definitely eat... More
