We've been coming to Ixtapa every Christmas for 30 years (!)! Soleiado is still one of the best here. We went last night and enjoyed every minute. Fabulous spinach salad; husband had couscous and sausage; friends had the pork tenderloin in a mustard and rosemary sauce (one of my faves); and my surf and turf included a nice piece of... More

Our concierge at Las Brisas Ixtapa (Maritza!) suggested a place we had never been, and we've come to Ixtapa 14 times since 1989. The service, led by Pascal, was perfect, and the food was very good. My wife had a filet mignon cooked perfectly, with a nice charred taste, while I had a fresh red snapper filet with lemon and... More

We have had great food at this restaurant which is the only reason we returned 3 times. The first last February for dinner. We received the wrong meal even though I pointed it out on the menu so the waiter wouldn't misunderstand me. This November we came for breakfast and although it was good, we never did receive the toast... More

First time we spent our vacation months in Ixtapa and Soleiado's was a half mile walk from our condo. After the first visit it became our favorite restaurant for lunch and dinner. Every meal was delightful and the service exceptional and our favorite waiter was Pascal. The nightly music was charming and relaxing by Martino Marangi He played and sang... More

We have stopped here twice in the last week. First time was for a coffee and croissant after our morning bike ride . The second time was for a late lunch. Neither time was busy so the wait staff were prompt and attentive. The lunch was excellent -- camaron tacos-- and the right amount for us. A pleasant place to... More

Charming, romantic spot with a diverse menu. Pork, beef, chicken, pasta and fresh seafood there is something for everyone. Service from Pascal and Julio was outstanding. The owner Edmond was on site greeting and overseeing which for us resulted in a perfectly prepared meal that I would rate as our best in Ixtapa. The red snapper was excellent. They also... More

We went to Soleiado for breakfast, there was 6 of us. Food was really good, I ordered red chilaquiles with meat. Service was really slow, maybe any other day we wouldnt care but we went there before leaving Ixtapa so we where in kind of a rush.

While we prefer Zihuatanejo to Ixtapa, we decided to venture out and try Bistro Solaiado one evening. We were favorably impressed. While the menu was in Spanish, the owner graciously translated for us and recognized that some times of the year Americans are rare in the area! The food was good, the service quite good, and the cost was reasonable.... More

Although we've been going to Ixtapa for many years, we only discovered this restaurant last February. It's now high on our list of must go places. The atmosphere is romantic and the food was wonderful. Prices are reasonable. You will want to make reservations for sure. They get very busy. Will be booking our 2017 trip soon and can't wait...
