Lunchtime meal. The plaice dish was excellent and each plate of food was beautifully presented. Huge compliments to the Chef. A lovely restaurant and the members of the team are very welcoming and professional. Highly recommend a visit.

Excellent food and service. Such a wonderful selection of starters and fish dishes. We both had the asparagus with poached egg and also chose the plaice which was huge and perfectly cooked. See you again soon

Absolutely lovely. This is the best meal out we have had in a long time. From start to finish this was fantastic. Every aspect of our visit was faultless. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, professional and polite. The restaurant is clean and cosy (but tables...far enough apart for privacy) with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and locally sourced. The menu has lots of choice and additionally specials that ensured we were spoilt for choice. We will definitely return and recommend to others.More

Fabulous lunch with amazing starters and mains to choose from. We both had the asparagus to start. Excellent! Hubby had the halibut with king prawns wrapped in bacon with an asparagus veloute. I had the beef fillet with red onion tart. Lovely tempura vegetables served...with green beans. Despite having no room we had the passion fruit tart and sorbet and the ginger panacotta with gingerbread. Delicious! Service was excellent and we’re booked in for next month. Well done everyone as it was our first visit but won’t be the last.👏👏👏👍More

Took friends on Thursday evening and as always, it remains one of the best restaurants in the West Midlands and therefore UK. Food is amazing, service is professional and I can’t wait to visit again.

I wanted something special for my wife’s 70 th birthday and Venture Inn delivered! Eleven of us for dinner on a Friday evening , we were given a room to ourselves which again helped to make it personal. Service was first class , the food...was excellent and being a family of amateur chefs we could really appreciate the quality, varied choices on the menu, nice wines and friendly staff. I couldn’t fault anything about the evening.More

The Venture In is a little outside our normal patch, but it’s so worth a trip, especially if you have a special event to celebrate. And so, we did indeed, on a recent birthday. We booked a lunch, and the two of us enjoyed a...sublime, tasty and overall excellent meal. The Chef knows what he is doing here, and the service was friendly and professional. It’s a very popular sport, so little chance of a table at short notice, so book as far ahead as you can. We will return, and not leave it as long between visits next time!More

A beautiful dining experience with traditional, top-quality service. We enjoyed our anniversary meal here last night. We always celebrate with food. it's how I've been brought up. I've been spoiled over the years with fabulous dining experiences, and this is up there. We were warmly...greeted upon entry, shown to our table in the small, oak seemed dining room. The table and chairs were not cramped to the next tables, which was welcomed. £60 pp for 3 courses was excellent value. The scallops were cooked to perfection, followed by the fish of the day; halibut. Omg I couldn't eat it all, probably due to me eating their homemade mini loaves and butter. Sorry, but I couldn't resist. Hubby had the chicken pate, followed by guinea fowl and pheasant, all cooked to perfection again. The side vegetables were tempura vegetables, green beans, toasted celeriac. Wonderful accompaniments. We asked for a break before desserts as we wanted to enjoy 3 courses which is very unlike us, but the locally sourced champagne helped lubricate the lemon curd and meringue for me, and ginger sponge and root cream for hubby. We walked the short distance home stuffed and happy planning to re visit again soon. Thank you for making our celebration memorable. Your attention to detail, service, and friendliness was top-notch!More

Great lunch menu, loads of choice of mouth watering dishes, speciality of the restaurant is fish and deservedly so. The décor, building and layout with just a few tables, along with the first class service and the staggered time of dining all added to the...relaxed atmosphere. The dishes are well thought out and well sized. For the quality of the food, preparation and service this is excellent value. Will definitely be returning.More
