This was a very nice relaxing meal. My wife and I shared courses. We started with the beef tartar, which was excellent. We then split the grilled romaine salad, which was alsssos quite nice, and we finished by splitting the bison pizza (again, very good).
The wine list was small, but we ordered a very nice bottle at a reasonable price.
Our server was great. Pleasant, attentive, and answered all of our questions.

We had a lovely dinner at Farm & Fire. A Tuesday night offering was date night where we split an salad, entree and dessert for a fixed price. The quantity ended up being perfect and each selection was really good. The entree was a Vegetarian Wellington which was exceptional. It was very flavourful and managed to replicate the satisfying heaviness of the ingredients in the light pastry. Really satisfying! Our server was from Wales and was most friendly and most helpful in encouraging us toward the Date Night special. She was very attentive the entire course of our visit and despite being pretty busy handled our needs as if we were the only guests in the restaurant. WE look forward to the chance to go back again.

Outstanding food and interesting cocktails, nice wines. We reserved a table mid-afternoon for 6:30 pm dinner and requested indoor seating. When we arrived we were told there was a table in the lounge area (4 or 6 tables near bar and across from hotel registration desk) or outdoor patio, but not in the main restaurant seating area. We elected the patio and although it’s looking onto busy Banff Avenue, it was really pleasant and the outdoor fireplaces produced real warmth. Ask about specific seating location if reserving. Food was well prepared and flavorful, and our wait staff was very helpful navigating the menu.

We booked a table the night before and arrived to be offered a table which was essentialy in the hotel lobby. We didnt feel this was acceptable so asked if we could be seated in the main resturant. Were intialy told it was not possible as it was booked up and people in the main resturant had booked before us so got the best seats (essentialy admitting that our table was second class). After a little discussion agreed to wait for a table to become availble which was fine. However the table offered was sat next to the open entrance door on a not too warm evening in September. We asked if the door could be closed which apparently it could not... there were other tables we could see but the host just did not seem to be able to be flexible. We just felt annoyed and frustrated and that the resturant felt it was doing us a favour letting us eat there. I'm guessing the food is nice be we left with a bitter taste.

We were excited to try Farm & Fire for lunch, especially since they are a farm to table oriented restaurant.
We had a party of five for this lunch experience.
Two of us, to include myself, ordered the chicken and waffle dish, my wife ordered the chicken/cobb salad and the other couple ordered the french toast and a beef oriented dish.
I was excited to try the chicken and waffles as I became a fan of this dish while living in Oakland, California. Unfortunately the chicken was not what I expected. Instead of getting a chicken breast, I received thinly fried chicken strips. At times I wondered if there was any chicken in the strips. Overall, not a dish I would order again.
My wife got the cobb salad with chicken breast but the chicken had virtually not taste. Not an item she would order again.
The french toast was gluten free and somehow pressed into a bread like substance. I tried the french toast and it was definitely a unique taste/texture. Not something that I would order again.
The couple we were with ordered a beef oriented dish and was disappointed that the beef was tough to chew. Not a dish they would order again.
The service at the restaurant was excellent and the setting of the restaurant is definitely first class/ideal for large or small groups.
I am not sure if my expectations were to high based upon prior reviews or that the meals we just okay.
Unfortunately, based upon our limited experience of having only one lunch experience at this restaurant, I would not be able to recommend.

Had the best meal and enjoyed the most phenomenal service! Our server Brandon was so incredibly attentive and friendly, I will be recommending this location. Brandon made our whole experience memorable in the best way possible, he recommended fantastic dishes and has made us repeat customers. The pizzas are a must-try!!!

Everything was perfect! Our waiter, Levi, was kind and helpful. He talked us out of overeating and it was very much appreciated. I loved the honesty. We ordered the Valentine’s special which was a VERY generous amount of food for 2 people at an incredible price. It included salad, 1/4 chicken, pork tenderloin, croquettes, brussel sprouts, and finally a s’mores dessert (warm brownie, salted marshmallow sauce and graham cracker crumbs), a dessert that surpassed my expectations. The ambiance is also cozy and inviting. All in all this was an amazing meal. Highly recommend Farm & Fire!

Took my partner and her grandparents for dinner here after a long day in Banff and we were extremely happy with the establishment. Vibes were great, very cozy and welcoming. Service was 10/10 our server Brandon was so knowledgeable and was able to help us pick the perfect dishes for each person. We had a few diet restrictions and he explained every dish with detail to make sure we were satisfied. Food was AMAZING and reasonably priced as well.
If your looking for great dishes, cozy interior and good prices this is the place to go!

A great experience! Super attention from Anthony our waiter and Chef Pablo Nájera who apart from being Mexican is very attentive and delicious cuisine. Each dish with unique and surprising flavors. From Caesar salad, risotto or croquettes. The super cozy place. I'll definitely be back eating here!

We were recommended by the driver we had at the icefield parkway and it was amazing. We were immediately attracted by the bison tomahawk and we have never eaten anything better. Abundant portion that in fact we divided into 2, accompanied by an equally good mashed potatoes. We waited a long time to receive what was ordered but Luke, who served us, gave us a nice discount for the small inconvenience. Memorable dinner after a great day.

This is a restaurant in a hotel. I think the objective is upscale family style with great food, appealing to tourists looking for the “Banff vibe”. The seating is basic, quite comfortable but limited. When the restaurant starts to fill it seems they close the bar area fronting to the lobby and use the tables from that space for overflow. That can leave restaurant diners a foot or so from hotel guests, including children, sometimes noisy, using the lobby seating. It was apparent that some people found that unacceptable and they left. We were seated at the side and that was fine. Just a heads up if that would concern you.
The food, as others have described, is good quality and with ample portions, good for sharing. Absolutely no complaints! The service at the table by Brandon was great. He was attentive and helpful as well as lively. Again, no complaints!
Make sure you personally make a reservation! We called around noon and went into a voicemail that offered a callback in an hour. We left a very detailed message asking for a reservation and providing a room number and phone details. We were then on a trip without cell service. Around 6 o’clock we checked with Anna at the desk and we had no reservation. She told us that because nobody had called us back we had no booking. Not a good vibe. We did manage a table later so all went well in the end but it cast a shadow over the dining experience. Thanks to Brandon for salvaging the meal.

Excellent meal with attentive and helpful service from Levi. Be aware the portions are large, my wife had the vegetable Wellington that with a side of greens would easily be enough for two. Fortunately they do doggy boxes so nothing was wasted. I had the caesar salad with added chicken absolutely amazing, not your usual caesar smothered in dressing but a crisp flavourful plate that had many complimentary flavours. The chicken served with it was also excellent. Thanks to Levi our server, who stopped us from ordering too much food, which is easily done on a first visit, there is so much to tempt you on the menu. Thoroughly recommend eating here if you are visiting Banff.

Booking is advisable for this  popular restaurant.  Lachlan looked after us well and gave good advice about dishes and portion sizes so that we didn’t over-order. We started with a Caesar salad which included the F&F signature smokiness and then shared a vegetable wellington in a romanesco sauce. Both dishes were tasty and nicely presented. Accompanied with a medium glass of rose and finished off with a S’more. Be aware that part of the restaurant appears to be in the hotel reception. This didn’t bother us as it was quieter and meant we could hear each other speak. Decent food and great service.

This is a comfortable and modern classy space. The two of us arrived around 4 pm, when their apres (happy) hour started. That hour with its low prices worked perfectly for our plan for an early meal etc.
$10 for delicious flatbread pizza (we had the Margarita), $5 beer, and two sizes wine by the glass for $10 or less. Flatbread was fantastic. Honey ale from rotating tap great too.
We stayed on, I had a Haskap Margarita (unusual and tasty) and my friend had the Professor Amber ale. Eats included the house Caesar, an unusual grilled romaine featured, and Croquettes with haskap berry and roasted garlic.
Overall a really nice vibe, great service and awesome food.

We stayed at the Elk & Avenue, the hotel attached to Farm & Fire. We only ate in the restaurant for the first time after we'd been in Banff for a few nights. After our forst meal on Christmas day, we went back the following day and the day after. The food has been absolutely delicious. The meals are quite unusual combinations of food together but somehow they work really well. The waiting staff were so friendly and accomodating. The prices compared to anywhere else decent in Banff has been very good. You're happy to pay 20% extra for the waiting staff and still pay less than in other places (except mcdonalds obviously). Would thoroughly recommend!
