3 of us were out for a bite to eat before a show.
We ordered the sticky ribs, ginger beef, gnocchi, honey potatoes and crème Brule. All were delicious! with drinks our bill came to $144 - excellent value for fantastic food, presented in very interesting ways and delivered with exceptional service by Amy G.
I'd DEFINETLY recommend that you don't miss this restaurant if you're in Banff!

It was our first day in Banff and we spent part of the afternoon wandering around town. Around 4:30 we started looking for somewhere for dinner and saw several pubs and grills when I happened to notice Brazen. The exterior looked modern, clean lines and sophisticated. We went on in to find out that they were not seating until 5:00, but I explained to the host that my back was killing me and could we just chill with a glass of wine until 5. The very kind host was able to accommodate us with a table beside a window where we could people watch.
The interior is spacious, elegant, modern with a nod to Banff’s history. We snacked on spiced nuts with my perfectly prepared Bloody Caesar and Craig had a Pinot Gris.
At 5 the lovely server was ready to take our order and I chose the strip loin with a coffee crust and chocolate sauce. Craig got the mushroom ravioli. Now, if you’re tired of burgers and wings you are in for an explosion of flavour!
The 14 oz steak was succulent and perfectly charred and oh man what an umami bomb ( this is a good thing)! The sauce was very savoury with a hint of chocolate. I loved it! The taste kept me going in for more.
Craig was served 2 very generous ravioli with greens and veg. This dish is rich and comforting but definitely flavourful!
I would highly recommend dining at Brazen! The staff if kind, warm and friendly and bent over backwards to take good care of us. The menu is edgy but flavour forward. Take a break from all that pub grub and treat yourself to a foodie experience. You won’t be sorry.

While in Banff we decided to try something new for the first time in a very long time and we were pleasantly rewarded. Brazen is a truly outstanding restaurant in all ways. The small touches in atmosphere and decor combined with the fabulous service make it a place that is enjoyable to eat in. The only thing that tops it is the food! I ordered the beetroot hummus pita and not only was it vegan, the flavours combined to be one of the most delicious dishes I've had in decades. I also had zero worries as the menu clearly states what items are either vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, or gluten free and there were numerous to choose from. My husband had the chicken club with honey potatoes and loved every bite. He said they were the best potaotes he's had and the club was delish. Our server, Hamish, was attentive and engaging. To be able to find an establishment that puts this much care and effort into ensuring that all their guests have a great experience is simply refreshing. We intend to make Brazen our regular restaurant when visiting Banff and hope they have many successful years.

We. Dined at the hotel for the first time as we had just arrived from the sister hotel in Jasper who had just opened a new restaurant Terra.
I asked for a plain steak and was told no because they all had a coffee rub (. Who wants to eat coffee tasting beef )
I then ordered the Mac and Brie.
My wife ordered the Mushroom Ravioli with mixed leaves.
The Mac and cheese brie turned up and looked very cheesy with dried skin of brie on the top.
Well what a taste sensation it was.
It was not cheese at all but macaroni in a tumeric sauce which was inedible and tasteless.
The chef that thought this dish up really needs to understand the basics of cooking and taste these
the dishes he is showcasing.
Who in their right mind would think this is acceptable.
My wife's Mushroom Ravioli again looked pretty but the salad was dressed in unseasoned oil that ran in to the ravioli and into the sauce.
We asked what dressing was on the salad, and was told it was an oil and butter dressing .
On asking why would you dress a salad like this, we were told so that it would not take the flavour away from.the ravioli.!!!
Again why would you not dress and season a salad properly.
This is a very pretentious menu that thinks it's better than it is and is playing to the trendy set.
But its head chef needs to get a better grounding in his knowledge or work under a head chef who knows his trade.
Then re look at the menu and offer decent food.

We had Sunday brunch here, as we were staying in the adjoining hotel. Server was nice enough. Due to dietary restrictions the only thing I could eat on the menu unfortunately was the French toast without the toppings, instead of offering a side of fruit etc or a reduced price for half the food served, I was told as per the kitchen, that nothing could be discounted at all, so I was literally charged $19 for 1 single small piece of topping-less French toast with no side at all. Definitely not accommodating. Also several things were missed/forgotten with my family members meals. Hostess/ woman at the front hated her life/job and it was very apparent. Definitely not the vibe overall for an enjoyable Sunday brunch with family unfortunately.

We dined here in September 2022 and were not overly impressed. My wife had mushroom ravioli and it was good, but not outstanding. I ordered a NY Strip and it was burnt on one side where I really couldn’t eat much of it. Our waitress saw the steak when I turned it over in my plate and asked if it was okay and I said “Not really”. She left and didn’t ask or send a manager but it was in the bill. Unacceptable.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel concierge, and unfortunately, it was a let-down. We went for breakfast one day and then went back for dinner the following night.
The breakfast was just okay. We loved the decor inside. Service was good, but the food was honestly quite disappointing. I don't know what they are thinking when they put a grilled cheese benedict on the menu. The thing falls apart the second you try to cut your knife into it. It wasn't a very well thought out menu item in our opinion.
We decided to give it a go the following day, as we had heard their dinner offering was a better meal: this was a complete letdown. We decided to split a bunch of appetizers (kebabs, broccoli salad, duck croquettes, hummus); all of which were not worth the money and were very small portions. The flavors were okay but still lacking. We also ordered the chicken dish as an entree and was expecting it to be a much larger plate (as it is sold as a 30$ large plate entree). This was not the case. The broccoli salad had a larger portion to it than the chicken did, and our server told us that it wouldn't be spicy, however one of my friends dining with us couldn't even finish his dish after he ordered it mild and it came out flaming hot. To top it off, we thought our cocktails lacked flavor and much of a kick.
I won't be returning here.

We had the most amazing night at Brazen! The service from Alex our server was awesome and the staff were so friendly, they really made us feel welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived.
Chef Dan graced us with his presence as he delighted our palates with amazing, personally hand crafted tantalising, mouth watering dishes.
They have so many delicious choices on the menu and every dish was a true work of art.
As well as the amazing food and cocktails, the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was incredible. The low light and earthy colours gave it a very elegant yet warm and inviting feeling.
Thank you to all the staff at Brazen and chef Dan for a wonderful evening, we will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone in Banff looking for a great restaurant!!

Went here for date night. The restaurant has an odd atmosphere. Our table was very awkwardly floating in the middle of the room backing on to a server station. Making for an uncomfortable feeling of vulnerability. They could go for turning the lights down to make a more intimate feel. I’ve been in more romantic feeling denny’s. Being on the cusp of contemporary fine dinning I expected more from the room. I’ve been working in the restaurant industry for many years and it felt like it needed some work to meet the mark. The concept is cool and the food is not revolutionary by any means but was yummy. The server we had was not very attentive at all. Didn’t seem too interested in being there and we were one of 5 tables there at the time. We probably would not return for dinner again.

We visited for the first time in a Saturday night. Our server Rylee was friendly and attentive and provided great recommendations. Stand out features for us are that the music was good but not so loud we had to yell at each other to be heard. And that the lighting was dim but not dark which was nice as we recently ate somewhere that was super dark inside and loud. Stand out dishes were the sherry cream mushrooms and the ginger beef - which they flambéed right at our table! The best!! We will be back Brazen

Incredible food! The Chef is really in a zone right now with his flavors. Had the Ginger Beef dish and it exceeded my tenderness expectations. Table side flambee for some flare as well! The grilled broccoli salad was very fresh and summery with good texture and the burger was money. Loved the fact that they dont need fries because their potatoes are so damn good! Will definitely be coming back!

This was our first visit to Brazen , and for sure it won’t be the last one! If you are looking to have a different food experience in Banff you have to stop by!. The food, services and decoration create a wonderful vintage styled experience. We ordered the chicken pop which was a real delicious starter!! We also tried the Ginger beef and the green tea mussels, my boyfriend ordered the smoked beef tartare that was sooo much tasty, amazing services and food .
Highly recommend it if you are visiting the mountain and if you are local, you should go every Wednesday!! Its locals night!!

My husband and I visited Banff on a hot day in August-with our dog! As you well know, outdoor seating is your only option when you’re traveling with a dog. We found Brazen on the app “Bring Fido” and also as we were walking down the main road and saw the outdoor seating area. We were seated and that side of the street was still shaded, although there were large umbrellas to keep us shaded as the sun slowly creeped across the patio area. My husband opted for the tuna and I for the truffle potatoes and steak. Both were EXCELLENT! The presentation was beautiful, the tuna perfectly seared and the steak was cooked medium rare as requested. And we had the best server Sophie! She was attentive, great at making suggestions when asked and we enjoyed visiting with her about Banff and Canada. When we were ready to order dessert, she told us about the deconstructed mango cheesecake. It was incredibly good. Compliments to the chef and kudos to Sophie for an excellent dining experience-outside an elegant restaurant, on the patio!

we came in for breakfast today after hearing great reviews and we weren’t impressed whatsoever. when we first came in we were told to wait 5-10 minutes for a table despite there only being 2 tables with guests already eating in the restaurant. afterwards we were served caesar’s with pickled asparagus covered in weird blue/grey grime; with the suspicion of mould we asked our server and she had no idea or care about it. our meal was served, and it was cold. i had the steak & potatoes which is literally just steak & potatoes; server said it included some vegetables but that meant 5 pieces of wilted arugula. i ordered a basted egg and it came as a broken over medium egg, during the duration of our meal, our server Nikki never checked on us even once to see how the meal was going, and we needed to call her over for bills and a box despite it being slow. there were other servers and what appeared to be a supervisor as well but they were preoccupied by other conversations. We were completely disappointed and dissatisfied overall. i’ve never written a review before but we are in the hospitality industry and were shocked by the quality of the food and service compared to the price

food is great quality with great pricing, as someone from france i 100% recommend the mussel’s, very tasty, the staff is great. had a great experience twice and will go again for sure. Thank you Arnauld /Arnold for the great service!
