That’s a restaurant that I’d go to again and recommend everyone to try as well. Everything was above 5 stars. We’ve been there on our first day in Banff and we did not regret a single thing. Great customer service, amazing food, very clean and everything was on fleek. All the waiters kept checking if we were happy with our food or need anything else from time to time . We went there twice and same great service was provided. Music was not too loud, the atmosphere was amazing and everything ordered was value for money. That’s one of the things that makes Banff memorable for me and I would definitely be dining at Zyka next time I’m in Banff again.

Although tucked away on the second floor, Zyka is a gem of an Indian restaurant. The service is friendly and solicitous, and the food is out of this world. As an appetizer, the Zyka Chat Samosa was sensational with subtly layered seasonings. For entrees, the Mango Fish chutney and the Baigan Bharta eggplant were superb. With rice, naan, and a pint of Pilsner the bill came to a reasonable US$45, not including tip—an outstanding value.

Very friendly staff (owner?) and the lunch buffet was delicious, and kept well-stocked with fresh naan to go with the variety of stews and sauces. We all left satisfied. My 19 year old kept talking about how much she liked the food after we left.
We had milky chai tea with the buffet and it was so good, and teapot refilled on the house! They offered us a half price discount for the buffet for our 11 year old even though she took a lot of food. We will be back next time we are in Banff!!

The overall experience was quite satisfying. The service was exceptional, attentive, and prompt, which definitely lived up to the mark high standards. The food quality was mostly excellent with flavours and textures hitting all the right notes. However, there was one slight, let down the paneer while cooked well, it lagged the expected, richness and creaminess, especially considering the price point were all very enjoyable meal to a slight week to the paneer recipe could elevate it to an even higher level.

Zyka restaurant was wonderful, firstly greeted by Addi with a welcoming smile and very friendly and efficient service. We had the onion pakora and samosa chat for starters and they were delicious and plentiful. We ordered the chicken tikka massala and chicken khari (not on the menu but gladly made to order). Both were delicious and the chicken melted in our mouths. We had naan breads rice and complimentary chips which were huge portions that we couldn't finish but great all the same. All in all the food was brilliant and definitely better than back home in England. We will return before we go home.

We stopped in for dinner. One person in our party has dietary restrictions so she couldn’t have cilantro or dairy and the server was so helpful working with the kitchen to figure out what she could eat. The chicken tikka was delicious as well as chai tea. The samosas were the best I’ve had, not too heavy and the peas and potatoes inside were perfectly cooked. The mango ice cream dessert was delicious too. Service was so accommodating and friendly. We will be back on any future trips to Banff!

Got a recommendation from a foodie friend in town and the food did not disappoint!
Poppadoms were so light and crispy, naan and lime pickles were fabulous and the daal makni is rich and tasty, the best I’ve had. The $17.99 lunch buffet is quality food at great value in a sea of tourist trap restaurants charging premium prices and as a bonus, the windows look out on Mt Rundle. If you like Indian food, do not miss Zyka!

It’s been a long time since a night out felt so special. Honestly the best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had was topped only by the kindest, most gracious host. My daughter and I felt cared for as the Owner checked in to ensure we were truly pleased and enjoying his perfectly recommended menu selections.
The heat level was adapted to suit our preferences and we left knowing we found our new go to. Thank you to the staff, front and back of house, for an amazing experience.

A new place on Banff Ave (2nd floor), we were there during their soft opening. The place was quite busy while we were there. Anish (sp?), the owner was very sweet and very attentive, took our order, brought our food and came by to make sure everything was OK. We sat in the smaller front room with a view of Mount Rundle.
Food was fantastic. Hot and flavourful...samosas, paneer, beef korma, naan...all superb. Price was extremely reasonable. He might need to hire more staff, as I imagine he will continue to get busier. With four Indian restaurants in town, this is the one you must try!! We will definitely return!

After reading the reviews we expected big things but I left feel a bit disappointed. Restaurant was busy but they accepted us as walk ins which might have been their mistake? Service was slow, our starter never arrived, just mains with no real explanation about why we didn’t receive them. Our food was mixed. Naan was lovely, Pilau rice was plain rice with peas in?? Food was very salty too. Sorry but I always give honest reviews and would not return.

The food and service was awesome here. We had the Chicken Tikka, Palak Paneer, Briyani, Lamb Roganjosh, Naan, Masala tea and Lassi. The Chicken Tikka was juicy and moist which is one of the best we've eaten. The Briyani was fragrant and cooked different from a Dum Briyani style but still good. The spices used in the various dishes were infused well. The owner & staff were very hospitable and definitely a restaurant we will want to return to whenever we're in Banff next.

Searched for 'Great places to eat Banff' and this place came recommended. We just turned up around 8.15 this evening and were given a seat to order drinks and food while an outside table became available. The waiter has an incredible memory and mentally took our order and the plentiful food was delivered to our table in around 15 minutes-all correct! The chicken Achari was devine. The most tender chicken I have ever eaten anywhere. My wife's butter chicken was delicious too. The place itself is above street level, so you may miss it, but if you look and find it, you may be writing such a review yourself.

Zyka was amazing in all aspects for our meal, involving paneer tacos, paneer lababdar, steamed rice and dal. True authentic taste and the hospitality of the staff was truly fantastic. Definitely recommending this to everyone visiting Banff!

I thought this place had good Indian food and was a good value for the price. It’s rated as the number one restaurant in Banff on Trip Advisor st the time of my writing this review. I think that might be an overreach but the food was good. The buffet comes with water and mango juice. The day I was there some of the dishes included chicken curry, Chana Masala, a paneer dish and a vegetable korma. There are a few things I think are worth pointing out before you visit. 1) the buffet price is listed on the restaurant website as $21.99 CAD for dine in. It’s actually $23.99 CAD. 2) The lunch buffet times listed on the restaurant website are 11-3 however when I showed up there was a sign on the door with the lunch buffet listed as 11-2:30 PM (the 3PM had been crossed out and 2:30 PM was hand written in. I mention this so you can plan your lunch accordingly if you go.

Our group had an excellent experience here! The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal. Everyone working at the restaurant was unbelievably friendly and patient. We had some "no spice at any cost" members of the group and our server helped them find perfect entrees. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
