I try and not go to Irish bars abroad, as the decor and the fact very few Irish people work there (if any) annoy me. The menu in this place has bratwurst. Not Irish. And bison burgers. Definitely not Irish. However, the food in this...More

St James Gate (Irish pub) is sort of like a little bit of Ireland in the Canadian Rockies. The atmosphere is Irish, the menu has numerous Irish items, but the wait staff is Australian (or others) and not as friendly as in Ireland. The food,...More

The beer was good too. The batter for the fish was awesome, as they use Guinness beer in it. I didn't think I would like it as I am not a Guinness drinker, but it was awesome. Quaint pub with a great atmosphere, just a...More

I went there as a diner. I saw some children with their families. We were there at a family dining time around 6:00/6:30 pm.

Description
Our story begins in Ireland. Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, St. James's Gate, established in 1996, was built and manufactured in Dublin, Ireland. The authenticity of the imported Irish woodwork and fantastic artifacts make St. James Gate one of the premier Irish pubs in the world. The Gate has a warm friendly atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Rub shoulders with local residents and tourists from around the world. The bartenders are friendly and prepare the drinks with care and consideration and the staff proves just what a capable & fun group of servers is worth. It's everything an Irish Pub should be.
