We enjoyed a terrific meal at this restaurant. Two of us loved the Canadian hash dish, one had jambalaya, another the veggie wrap (accompanied by wonderful Southern-style potato salad) and the last of us enjoyed a simple green salad topped by grilled chicken. Everything delicious,...topped off by great service.More

I waited at the door for more than 5 mins ,then I approached the guy at the counter who had been ignoring me for the whole time to be seated at a table. I understand they were busy but I can't understand why they can't...at least take 1 min to attend to the customer, who is right in from of them. The staff finally answered with a question , do you have a reservation to which I didn't have. So he tells me while looking at his phone in his hand that he doesn't have a table, not even a wait time to get one. And I thanked him for wasting my time and went next door which was nicer. When someone is standing at the door to be seated, they are not begging for food, they are paying for it. And the customers are the ones who gives tips for good service.More

The food was okay, somewhat overcooked but fine. The reason for this review is because of the conduct of the gentlemen seating people that formed the line into the restaurant. Four Chinese ladies where in front of my girlfriend and I when he told them...he had no seats available, one lady pointed out that he had four together right outside. He got upset and said they were reserved, they moved aside and he asked us how many. We said two, he gave us a buzzer and asked us to wait outside for a few minutes. We did, got buzzed in two minutes an where seated at the tables he refused to give the young lady’s. Blatant racism. So sorry to see it.More

Visited this restaurant in 2021 and had an excellent dining experience. Couldn’t wait to have the alligator bites again. We arrived shortly after 6pm and were very pleasantly greeted at the entrance. Promptly seated as a family of 4. They have a pretty good menu...for small kids and not over priced. This time we chose a few appetizers and a soup. The food did not disappoint again. The bourbon glazed pork belly (favorite), alligator, and catfish bites were all very good. The soup was the crab and corn bisque also very flavorful. The service and our food was another great experience . After reading some of the recent reviews we were a bit worried but I’m really glad we went again! We will always make this restaurant stop when we are here in Banff.More

Great service and good food. The menu was a bit overwhelming I thought, but a big selection can always seem that way. I had the chicken and waffles and enjoyed them. They also had Diet Coke, which not everywhere did so 👍🏻

Highly overrated. Food is prepared with too much oil/butter. Service was okay. Overall, this restaurant for breakfast is not a good choice for people looking for healthy prepared food.

Food was good. Service was excellent. Shout out to Victor our waiter! A very busy day in Banff and rather than have people wait a long time to be served, this restaurant turned people away until kitchen could catch up. That made so much more...sense than having customers wait. All around good experience.More

First, waited about 15 minutes for our drinks and overheard a server say there was no bartender so they had to mix their own drinks. Ordered soup as an appetizer and the server asked if I wanted it first or for everything to come together....I said bring it out as it’s ready, don’t hold anything up. After 30 minutes I asked where my soup was and she said it was on the counter. Ten minutes later (40 minutes now) everything came out at once and the soup was cold so clearly it had been sitting there. The server said “you said bring it all out when it’s done.” No, I didn’t. She did offer to heat it up but that wasn’t the point, you shouldn’t be serving me cold soup in the first place. And we were seated at a small table for two so there was no room for all the dishes. My husband and I had to shuffle dishes around as we were eating. Then, let me start by saying I’ve eaten a lot of creole food in my time and have been to New Orleans multiple times. Creole food should not be so spicy that it burns after one spoonful. Almost unbearable, and I like spicy food. The table next to us was also commenting about how everything was way spicy. They ordered something with bacon but complained to the server that there was no bacon in it. The server said it was crumbled up very fine. On top of that, there are numerous decorations and accent pieces in the restaurant and they are filthy dirty. We were seated right next to some things that had a very obvious layer of dust on them. We were hungry and had already invested considerable time and it was getting late so we really couldn’t go somewhere else because places were closing. And this is not an inexpensive restaurant. Would not go back. There are lots of places in Banff, pick a different place.More

Wow, this place was great. I was looking for something simple for breakfast but really couldn't find anything in town that wasn't super expensive. Then I found Tooloulous, and it fit my bill. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a Cajun eatery to have great breakfast options,...but they proved me wrong. I had their breakfast Poutine and not only did it fill me up, but I may have overindulged because it was so good. Also, their shelf of hot sauces that you can choose from was very inventive and I took advantage of trying a few different flavors. This place was well worth the money!More
