This place is definitely worth the walk. It's small and cosy and the perfect spot for tea and scones. Take a walk around the lake when you get there and don't forget your camera. Stunning.

I was hesitant to go... I'm not much of a hiker and the idea of climbing 1,300ft above Lake Louise was NOT appealing. That said, my husband had visited the Lake Agnes Teahouse when he was a child and wanted to experience it again. We...More

Yes, the crowds are onmipresent, and the trail leading to Lake Agnes isn't the best in the area, but the falls and the tea house at the foot of Lake Agnes remain one of the best destinations in the Lake Louise area. Enjoy tea and...More

You feel a sense of achievement hiking up to this popular tea house and rewarding yourself at the end with a choice of soups, sandwiches, tea or cakes. There is no electricity here so the darkness inside adds to the atmosphere and the amount of...More

The hike up to Agnes was great. Listed at 3.7kms it sure felt shorter than that. We made it up to the tea house early which paid off. People started to flood in as we were leaving. The tea was decent, but the service was...More

This was a very cool place, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. When we went, they closed early so we booked it up the hill in 40 minutes. I don’t recommend that haha. Bring water for sure and give yourself lots of time for the hike....More

Sorry I am not sure but if you contact them directly they do get back to you. I had asked about if they except reservations ( they do not ) and she called me back with a day.

Imagine hiking to one of Canada's oldest and highest tea houses! Lake Agnes Tea House is family run tea house in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. To reach Lake Agnes, you will undertake a forested 3.5 km (2.25 mile) hike with an elevation gain of 400 m. (1,300 ft). Situated at an altitude of 2,135 m. (7,005 ft), the Lake Agnes Tea House is located in a lovely hanging valley on the shores of Lake Agnes, which is surrounded by craggy peaks and breathtaking views. Once you arrive at Lake Agnes, you can take comfort in knowing the baker, who is one of the owners, started baking fresh bread, homemade soup and mountain treats at 4:30 a.m. on their propane stove. With no running water or electricity and all the fresh food carries up in the staff's backs, life at Lake Agnes Tea House is an adventure. The dishes are done by hand and all of the orders such as sandwiches, tea biscuits, mountain bars and tea are made to order. Cash only & hike with plenty of water.
