Let me start off by saying that if you are considering coming here stop drop everything and hurry up and come. This was by far the best experience my wife and I have had. It starts with the elegance of the staff and the most beautiful presentation of food. We had the octopus with was a mouth full of flavour, then surf and turf which I can only describe as orgasmic. I'm a huge craft beer and whiskey enthusiast and I thoroughly enjoyed tasting the subtle art of their craft whiskey experience. Finally we shared the whitehorn burger and it was mindblowing right down to the fries!
I'd like to thank the chef and our waiter Aurora for making our honeymoon experience, we are positive that they will continue to do so for all of you!

I have come here over the past few years and every year it’s better than the last.
I had the bruschetta which was amazing. A version of build your own with three different tomato flavours brilliant presentation.
My wife started with the pea soup with lobster ravioli. (We want the recipe)!
I had the stuffed burger and let me praise this burger. Juicy, soft with foie Gras Centre just perfect. My wife had the zucchini pasta and the flavours were fantastic as well.
Our two children 7 & 9 enjoyed the Mac and cheese and the grilled cheese great choices for kids. Overall I never regret coming here but this year has been exceptional!
I will be coming back in August with my parents to enjoy another great view, service and meal.

I think of the Whitehorn Bistro as one of the food options that can be paired with the Lake Louise Summer Gondola and it is an option that should be strongly considered. Get a discount by purchasing a Gondola and Gourmet Ride and Dine ticket, pick a sunny day and make a reservation. You'll be rewarded by the incredible views of Lake Louise & area and by a fine menu and an excellent beverage menu. My wife had the salmon and I had the steak with scallops; both were superb. There was no outdoor dining on the day we were there as there was a chance for stormy skies, but the indoor ambience was just fine. I'd like to give a shout out to the personable, capable, pleasant waitress, Jenny who added to a great experience. My wife & I plan to make this a regular stop whenever we are in the Lake Louise area.

The Whitehorn Bistro does something amazing — they serve delicious, four star meals half way up one of the best ski mountains on the planet … and do so in the middle (hopefully end) of a global pandemic.
From the daily soup (vegetarian friendly) to the Korean vegetarian sushi platter, to the hearty burger - the food is truly delicious.
But special mention goes to the fondue — as it is a real, traditional Swiss cheese fondue! Two days earlier we went for “The Fondue Experience” at the Wallister Stube at the Chateau Lake Louise. It was AWFUL. What came to our table (at a very overpriced $85 per couple) was a white cheese sauce and a side plate of raw vegetables. For a supposed five star hotel, it was a zero star experience.
Then we went in for lunch at the Whitehorn Bistro two days later. What arrived at our table (at only $55 per couple) was a real, gourmet cheese fondue!
Don’t waste your money at the Chateau Lake Louise and the Wallister Stube.
Grab the Glacier Express chair up the ski hill and enjoy an excellent lunch at the Whitehorn Bistro.

We had a wait for a table on a very busy Saturday but it was worth it. I had a seafood chowder. It may even have had frozen lobster, but the taste was amazing.
Boyfriend had the bison steak, with kale, pea & mushroom delights beneath it and dauphinois. He said it was the best steak he’s eaten. We were more than pleasantly suprised because we’d read nothing before our visit. Best of all, it was incredibly good value and not more expensive than other restaurants in less spectacular surroundings.
Sky was heavy with snow so there was no view to enjoy but we had a cosy booth rather than a window table.
We returned for hot drinks earlier on another day to escape the minus 15 chill. Staff were great on both occasions.

This is a must stop if you are at the ski hill or just doing the gondola in the summer! This was the first place I ate at since the 2nd wave and the food and the service were top notch! Our server Lauren went above and beyond with menu knowledge and accommodating our table change from a booth to a window. Which is a lot of extra work with Covid to sanitize. I would recommend the charcuterie board and the duck for sure! Thanks Lauren for an amazing experience and sharing your favourite ski runs with us, we'll be back for sure!!!!

Went to whitehorn bistro for lunch with friends in November and had a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were incredible and the view was the best on the mountain! Joanie was our server and she gave us amazing recommendations for food and drinks. She made our experience perfect and made us feel right at home, we would definitely go back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting the ski hill!

The bistro was busy so we had to wait half an hour but it was well worth it. Waiter was very attentive even though he seemed to have a number of tables to look after. And the food was so good! My husband had the halibut which was a little over done but still tasted great and I had the seafood casserole which was the best meal I have had for a long time! The view, the food and the staff made it a memorable occasion, thank you.

Had the most wonderful time during my visit! Our server Marika was amazing and attentive and recommended some delicious menu items! I had lettuce wraps that were so flavourful and my date had the flat-iron steak which was cooked to perfection and came with amazingly flavourful sauces and sides. We couldn’t have been more impressed! We also sampled several of the cocktails which were delicious! I had several that featured local Canadian sparkling wines which was very cool. The smoked old fashioned literally came underneath a smoked board! How cool! Overall a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back!

We had Jenny as our server and we couldn’t have left happier! She was an absolute delight and chatted with us about our entire trip and her experiences in the Banff area as well. She was incredibly friendly - you can tell she genuinely cares about customer experience. We asked her for recommendations for food and she recommended the steak, the salmon, and the mussels. We got all of the above, as well as the burger, and all of them exceeded our expectations. The sauce for the mussels was so incredible that we even asked for extra bread to dip into the sauce. It was delicious and we will definitely be back to visit Jenny!

Best service and best food! And the view is superb! Our server was Jenny K and she was awesome! She did everything a server should do: bring food and drink on time, check on you when it’s just the right time and of course smile and chat with you. The quality and presentation of the food matched the scenery: majestic. We had the share platter with duck wings and prosciutto and many more delightful items. Then it was on to the cassoulet which was just delicious; could not stop eating it. Absolutely recommend going there and you are likely to see a bear from the gondola too.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch. Some amazing food and views from this cozy bistro, complimented by one of the best servers I've ever had, Mani. He was great - very personable and helpful with recommendayions for the food and drinks.
We ordered the whitehorn salad, the cauliflower wings, and the seafood mushroom pasta. All of them were incredible. Pasta was perfectly aldante. Honestly, everything was perfectly cooked and very well prepared with great flavors.
I recommend asking for a side of their hot sauce if you order the wings. Not too spicy but good flavour.

We were on a motorcycle trip and wanted to do the gondola ride to the top of the mountain but did not realize there was a gourmet restaurant at the top. We opted for the package deal of the gondola ride and a $60 gift card for lunch. The prices are definitely steep but the view, service and food quality was definitely worth it. We would highly recommend it.

The experience to take the gondola and do a small hike gives a nice twist experience.
The view and the resto is very nice, the service was amazing we got Jenny and she accomodate everything for my son which has several allergies. The food was veryyy goood quality and presentation and tasty. I would love to go more often if it werent for the gondola prices, you spent more money on the gondola than the restaurant.

Nice modern setting with some tremendous creative lunch. The lentil soup had just the right amount of spice, burgers were great even though those darn Canadians require they be served well done....who ever came up with that nonsense? Service was good, we felt lucky to be enjoying lunch at the Whitehorn. Go ahead and make your day!
