We loved cycling from Banff (2020/2021) to enjoy a patio lunch at the Baker Creek Bistro. The sandwiches and wine were a welcome respite from the road bikes. Please let us know when you will be rebuilding. We don't want to lose this local gem.

Oct. 2, 2021 - Front desk girls never greeted us when we came into the office. We had to ask questions and only received one word answers. Price tags on items in gift shop not honored. I went to pay and was charged double, girl...said the item was tagged wrong. Charged more for books than what they were priced. The $6.00 Mocha was a very small cup and was the worst I have ever tasted. Dishonestly and unfriendly and unprofessional service. They just lost dollars from several people in my large circle of friends that were thinking about spending a couple weeks there next year!More

We decided to go for a walk along the river and then stop into the Bistro for a look at the menu for supper - we were attached by mosquitoes. We popped in and the girl (sorry can't remember her name) working in the Bistro...advised she had some Off and was more than willing to share it with us which was greatly appreciated. In response to her kind gesture we decided to order a couple of beverages for the patio. Without looking at a menu my husband ordered a Caesar for $17. I know they can be expensive as they often come with a small meal on a skewer. That was not the case with this very small drink with 2 asparagus spears and 1 olive. I seen a bottle of wine I am familiar with and enjoy on the bar so ordered an 8 oz glass to enjoy. I was speechless when I seen the bill and the 8oz of Menage a Trois, which is $14.00 in a liquor store, was $25 for the 1 glass. We then checked the menu for supper and discovered their $32 burger and everything went up from there. We were already settled in and there were limited options without driving 30 minutes so we went back for supper and made the best of it. Food was good but not great for the price charged.More

Semi-post covid, we thought we would splurge a little plus had great comments from friends too. In short, the meal was exceptional and very well prepared. Service was impeccable, thanks to Kris. Just be prepared that considering this is shoulder tourist season in a National...Park, prices are a bit higher, but still reasonable. Two drinks each, one small appetizer, and two meals, with GST and tip came to $237. What I thought was humorous was that for upscale, the napkins were only paper....which for an upscale restaurant, was a surprise. Not a big deal by any stretch and we would most certainly return for the quality of the food. Highly recommend making a reservations as seating is limited.More

We stopped by here to check it out for a future couples get away this summer. The staff were unbelievably welcoming and informative. We decided to have lunch on the patio at their restaurant. The manager, Kris took us under his wing helping us enjoy...an amazing meal. My fiancé and I love to see what speciality cocktails places offer, and Baker Creek didn’t disappoint. Kris, made us an awesome smoked old fashioned and also offered some great local beers. We highly recommend this place for a quick pop in to enjoy their patio, and I’m certain their cabins don’t disappoint either. Thanks to all your staff, and Kris for the unreal drinks!More

Everything here was unbelievable . Our server Kris made some super tasty cocktails. Grizzlys breath new fashioned was so so good. They have the best charcuterie board around . The bison short rib was fall off the bone with an amazing bbq sauce. Everything Kris...offered was outstanding. And a great craft beer selection if I don’t say so myself.More

We were staying at a nearby resort (Castle Mountain Chalets) and came here for dinner one night. It was a pleasant drive on a good highway. The food quality and selection was great and the service was high quality.

Visited the Bistro with a friend for Valentine's lunch. We had the three-course special with a wine tasting. Our server, Kris, was very friendly and professional. He told us all about the wines and why they were chosen for each pairing. The food was awesome!...Will definitely be visiting again.More

Our server Kris was very hospitable and welcoming. He was at our table exactly when we wanted him to be, anticipating our needs. We ate there 3 nights in a row and enjoyed everything. It’s definitely not inexpensive, but one does have to remember that...it’s nestled away miles from Banff and Golden. Our compliments to the chef for the delicious choices and preparation of high quality ingredients.More

We had the wild boar meatloaf, duck confit, mulled wine and Santa's secret hot chocolate for dinner, with some bread brought out to start, with apple pie for dessert. The service here was incredibly friendly. Katie was our server and she was an absolute delight....The food didn't come out particularly fast, but that didn't bother us as we were happy to sit together and enjoy each other's company. The atmosphere is very cozy and the restaurant is beautifully decorated both inside and out. The food was spectacular from start to finish. The bread was warm and tasted fresh. The drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. Our dinner was mouthwateringly good and the portions were fairly large, and the dessert was delicious. You can taste the quality and freshness in everything here.More

This was the last dinner I ate during my Alberta visit. The ambience was very relaxing and cozy. We had the duck wings, prawns, short rib and sticky toffee pudding for desert. Everything was great. Kris made the night extra special with his custom drinks,...friendly service and excellent menu suggestions! We especially enjoyed his mulled wine. Will be recommending to all our family & friends 10/10More
