Nice lunch stop today. Shared the sausage appetizer and was just enough for the 2 of us. Mains were pasta arribata and the veal special. My guest really enjoyed his tender veal and pasta was very nice with a reasonable heat. Watched a little soccer and wash it down with a bottle of wine. Very nice lunch stop.

I have loved this place for a long time. Aside from the food being authentic Italian and absolutely amazing with portions exceeding the prices, the owner is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is comfortable, inviting and by the end of the eve you feel like you’ve spent the night with family!! SS 106 is the only restaurant I feel safe frequenting during covid. Protocols implemented thus far have ensured my safety as well as the safety of all others in there.

We went on a very quiet Sunday for a family birthday celebration. Started out with the antipasto platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Main meals varied from the Gnocchhi al Pomodoro to the Fusilli Arrabiata to the Rigatoni al Prosciutto e Rose. the Rigatoni meal was somewhat disappointing but all others were excellent. We were treated like family by our very Italian server who made the occasion a real success. If you're looking for a place with white linen tablecloths and a stuffy impersonal server then you should move on. But, if you're looking for a place with great food and service you should give this place a try.

Ate at SS106 last night based on Trip Advisor reviews. The positives: Dom and his staff do a great job of making people feel like part of the 'friend group' of regulars. The atmosphere was casual and the service attentive. We tried their signature Spritzers, and were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed these Prosecco based drinks. The not-so-positive: we found the food rather ordinary. 2 of us had the veal, and we found it tender but the sauce was oily and under seasoned. 2 of us had the Seafood pasta and the sauce was scanty and again, under seasoned. SS106 is more like a bar with food than a restaurant that also serves drinks.

My family and I had such a great experience at this amazing restaurant . Great food , great ambiance and awesome service . We had the arrancini which were great, a very generous calabrese board and the pizza was perfect but my favorite was the gnocchi al fungi (best I ever had ) .
Definitely will be returning to SS106
Thank you to the staff and owner(Dom) for being so hospitable.

The food that we had was absolutely amazing and priced very fair, I was shocked at how reasonable the bill was. With the food being great , the staff definitely put it over the top Very clean and well decorated motif. Without a doubt coming back on this visit

Hey this place is so amazing. The owner is a spectacular guy and the food is great. We went last night and he has made the place Covid safe. There are dividors and everyone is distanced and wearing masks. The food is super good and super tasting.
THe owners always walks around and ensures everything is up to his standards and his guests are taken care of.
Highly recommend this place

The combination of a great little neighbourhood restaurant coupled with amazing Italian food, personalized service and prices that keep you coming back are why this little gem was packed with locals and out of towers like me on a Tuesday night.
Eating by myself while in town on business, I made the decision to sit at the bar and was rewarded with great conversation with the owner Dom.
I decided to start with the Arancini balls which were delicious, well seasoned with just the right amount of accompanying sauce.
For the main course I chose the Veal in mushroom sauce with seasonal vegetables, and was delighted with the flavour of the mushroom sauce and the tenderness of the veal.
This restaurant deserves to be in Calgary’s top 3 and I have made sure to let my friends and family know of this gem north of the Bow.
Looking forward to working my way down the menu on this weeks business trip to Calgary.
Give this place a try, it may just become your new go to place, and if you’re lucky enough, it’s close by

I discovered SS106 about one year ago and became my to-go place for my daily coffee, my dates with my wife and even meeting with my Clients. SS106 and the team always go above and beyond to meet the needs of their consumers - always with a smile and good energy.
The vibe in this restaurant is simply unique and rare to find in Calgary. If you are looking for a place to relax, to meet your friends, to have family reunion or simply have lunch/dinner by yourself, this is the place.
Thank you everyone at SS106 for what you do on a daily basis, your smile and your great attitude!

Relaxed with warm, friendly service. Very generous potions with a homey Italian taste. Reliable Italian dishes meat balls, calamari (deep fried) veal, caprese salad and olives. Hope to return!

SS 106 is a very good italian resturant with a great selection of things on the menu. It also has a great location to. Its near down town so if you are feeling to eat italian food before a flames game its a great choice. I reccomend the calamari, the cotto pizza, the cannoli and the triamisu. Its a nice place to bing your kids when its not buisy

If you're looking for a place that combines amazing food with a relaxed vibe, SS106 is the spot. From the moment you walk in, you feel the welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Dom and the whole team make you feel right at home—approachable without being over-the-top.
The food? Absolutely incredible. Each dish is crafted with high-quality ingredients, and it’s clear in every bite. We had the cheese board, gnocchi with mushrooms, carbonara, and tiramisu. If you're craving authentic Italian, this is hands down one of the best places in Calgary to get true Italian flavors.
The drinks are just as impressive. The wine list is spot-on, with a solid selection of Italian wines that pair perfectly with the meal. And if you're into cocktails, they've got a great mix, featuring classic and creative options made with authentic Italian spirits, both refreshing and unique.
If you're after top-tier food, great drinks, and a chill, inviting atmosphere, SS106 is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back for sure.

This is definitely our go to place for family and friends. It is a gem in our city with attentive and friendly staff that make you feel like family. The fun and vibrant atmosphere together with the delicious food brings a little piece of Italy to our city. Do not leave without having a piece of the house made Tiramisu, this is by far the best I have had.

I was expecting more from reading the reviews. Small restaurant with decent food. Service was great. Drinks were good. Had appetizer, 2 main courses and dessert. Dessert said cake with gelato - no gelato came with it.

Everything about this place was amazing!
I went here for the first time where I got to meet this lovely couple who eats at the place every Friday. The atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel comfortable enough to talk with them and eventually I got to speak with the AWESOME owner, Dominic! (He even payed for a shot, so thanks!!!)
Also, did I mention the food? Wow! Basically if you come here expecting tasty Italian food, you will get it. The waiters there (sorry I forgot their names 🙃) were awesome, nice and charismatic. They explained to me the dishes and made me feel as a friend. The prices weren’t too bad as well which is a huge plus!
I will definitely come here next Friday!
