Okay By Calgary Standards

Sushi in Calgary (especially outside the downtown core) is just okay. The lack of quality is often compounded with jacked up prices for "meh" sushi because there are not many choices. Itoko avoids the high prices but the quality is just okay/decent, acceptable for a regular supper but hardly worth getting excited about. The chicken yakisoba tastes decent but the serving was small, barely enough to share. The Hollywood roll was very strange because they used cooked fish(!) on the inside. It was an odd, bland centre to a promising roll. With at least reasonable pricing, we may visit again if in the area.

I have visited several times, and every time, the sashimi is of the highest quality I have come across. They are happy to adjust orders to preference as well, always delivering top quality.

So happy to have tried a near by restaurant and been pleasantly surprised!! (We live in Walden) so less than a 5 min drive from our house. Our server ANDREA was so great to be served by! Super friendly and really listened to and answered our questions. Super delicious mango sushi rolls and nice raw sushi too. Everything came out quickly and was fresh and flavourful. Will be back and probably will become locals.

Chefs don't know how to follow instructions!!!

The sushi here is good, we order here multiple of times in fact... but for the 5th god dam time of not following instructions it gets a bit annoying and on top of it they have not been on time with their orders for deliveries. I get it your busy but dude adjust your wait time.. waiting an additional 40mins past when your order is due is ridiculous!call your clients tell them your behind. WHY HAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON YOUR OPTION TO ORDER IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO FOLLOW IT!!! NO WASABI!!! HOW HARD IS IT?!??!?! Sushi is good but dam please listen to your clients!

Great lunch specials

I drop in occasionally to pick up lunch to go, and I’ve never been disappointed. The food, regardless of what I order, is always fresh and really well packaged for a to-go order (better than most!). I’ve never had to wait more than ten minutes for my order to be ready, and everyone is quite friendly. It’s great to have a nice sushi place so close to home.

When this first opened in our neighbourhood I thought it didn't have much of a chance. That was several years ago. Now it's my go to place for sushi. Made fresh to order while you wait. We've had relatives from out of province join us there and they've raved about. Can't miss!
