If you love burgers, you should try this place. Their burgers are magical and their salads are delicious. The fries is too much and won’t be able to finish it. My wife asked for the lettuce wrapped one and she loved it.
If you like a good burger then you must eat at Holy Grill. Why? Well you will have fresh topping, a fresh bun and a thick burger paddy that will keep you eyeing your next bite.
We also enjoyed the beet chips - so good,...and the parmesan cheese fries - also so good. The serve good sized bowls so make sure you are hungry.
Service was friendly and we enjoyed the patio out back. By the way, you can get free parking for three hours when you activate parking inside the restaurant.
Thanks for a wonderful meal. We will want to come back sometime soon.More
we were planning a social distancing grab and go lunch in the office and it was decided to order and pick up form Holy Grill. Good choice!! the Italian Panini was excellent - full of meat and wonderfully melted cheese. The highlight though were the...home made sweet potato chips - I could eat bags of those!More
Atmosphere: 3/5 – Modern & sleek. Decent lighting. Seating is limited & the spacing between seats is tight.
Price: $$$/5 – On the higher side of average.
Customer Service: 4/5 – Servers were polite. Service speed was on the faster side of average.
Location: 5/5...– Easily accessible, within walking distance to many great Calgary attractions
Taste: 4/5 – Meat is tender & juicy. Bun is very tasty. Fries & chips are good.
Menu: 4/5 – Menu is on the smaller side with only a few unique items. Might not please fussy eater. Vegan + Vegetarian + Gluten Free friendly.
Sustainability: 3/5 – Couldn’t find info on ingredient sourcing. Supports Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids Society.
Blessings – Tasty, nice location.
Sins – Limited seating.
Good items to buy: Blackened chicken burger, Homemade dip, Sausage Nicmuffin.
Summary: 3.8/5 - Overall, I would recommend stopping by Holy Grill. They have some great tasting burgers & breakfast sandwiches. Their menu is small with a few unique items and as a result may not please a fussy eater. I love that they support Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids Society but feel like they could be doing more. The one area I think they could improve in is by using local Canadian ingredients.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!! 😊More
Chose the burger of the day, which was mushroom Swiss. Excellent flavour and the fries were amazing, but the size of the burger and the quantity of fries were overwhelming. The burger was 4-5 inches tall which is pretty hard to eat. I ended up...dissembling it. There were enough fries for a small family. It was still good, but it made me feel very wasteful to throw out so much food. It also struck me that the place has a bit of an identity crisis. You order at the counter, and get your own utensils, condiments (e.g., pump ketchup into little paper cups), napkins and beverage, so who and why am I asked for a tip? It would also be nice to see reusable cups for water, the place seems to generate a lot of used paper products, which didn’t really fit the vibe. Still giving it a 4 because of the quality of the food.More
