Food was amazing

I travelled from Vancouver and always stopped by in this cozy place. Food was really original for the taste and staff were friendly. This family running resturant is a best sample of family love which does reflect in their food. Mr Masoud Has a high respect towards his customers and you can see that in the number of high numbers of regulars customers!

Authentic Persian food

This restaurant is very simple, small, and unassuming but food is packed with flavor. My friend is married to a Persian and both love going to this place. Staff is friendly. We ordered their oh-so tender lamb shank. Gotta dip the chicken kabob in the garlic sauce for extra flavor.

Amazing kabob

I had a chance dining in house of kabob yesterday the food was amazing juicy and tender and the service was excellent and the price very reasonable and I highly recommend for those kabob lovers mass try this restaurant

Warmed up leftover rice and very dry kabob

Pieces of hard old rice tahdig was mixed with the rice , It felt like they warmed up the leftover rice in microwave and the kabob was very small very dry piece of dark dark ground beef that didn’t taste like meat . I don’t know what was in it.

Terrible. Never been to a persian restaurant where the house salad is a bagged American salad served with a kraft dressing packet on the side. If you want a side of sauce/dip for your kebab entree, you have to buy a $5 bowl of yogurt. Kebabs were half raw. All of that, after having to ask for a server to come to my table after waiting 15 mins for service in an empty restaurant. Definitely 5 star rating 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Went looking for home style Persian food

I walked from downtown to the House of Kabob looking for some authentic Persian food. The restaurant was packed and there was only one table left which made me think this was going to be a great meal. Unfortunately, the service and food were not as good as I expected. I ordered a combination platter with beef and chicken kabob, but was served a chicken platter and then the server remembered I wanted beef as well so he went back to the kitchen and brought a skewer of beef about 10 minutes later. I had ordered some barberries to mix with my rice and those also arrived a few minutes after my meal started. My cutlery had food residue still on it leaving me with one utensil to manage the meal. The kabob was well cooked but lacked the flavor I have been accustomed to when going to Persian restaurants. With more sumac and barberries, there was no rescuing the bland flavor. I would not return to this restaurant.

We went because we wanted to try Persian food. The restaurant atmosphere is friendly, as is the staff. The kebab with the chicken was my favorite-- and the rose ice cream! Such an unusual but good flavor. We will go back.

Prices are like qualities. All is in the middlare range. It is not perfect but for eating every Saturdays is affordable.

Decent Persian Food

The restaurant is quite small and needs a little updating. The Greek salad was just OK, the potatoe was cold and undercooked, the rice could have been hotter, but I have to say that the lamb and chicken breast skewers were each outstanding. The naan bread starter was good.

we use to take out pretty often from here until they charged almost double (did you notice they never charge less "by mistake"?). nevertheless food is good.

Great Persian food, good service and reasonable prices

This is one of the most reasonably priced Persian restaurants. Go in the back door through a curtain and sit down and be waited on by the best wait staff - friendly, answer questions and fast. Everything we have had here is good - better than good. Large portions you could actually split.

House of Kabab is a good spot for Persian cuisine. It looks a bit like a trailer on the side of the road but the food is very good, affordable and authentic. They have many items which you will not get anywhere else in Calgary.

Fresh, tasty, home style - must try

Come here after good skiing day. Looks simple house from outside but comfortable and really friendly atmosphere inside. Got lamb kebob - come with rice (with greatly spiced and with wonderful flavour) and fresh salad. Complimentary welcome pita bread for all visitors. Friendly and cute service. Wonderful place of you want to experience real homestyle Persian meal in friendly atmosphere. Family run place.

Great food! Better value!

My new favourite weekend lunch spot! Great Persian fair, big portions, great value! There is not much else to say. We were a group of three and everybody left very satisfied.
