Wow, not sure what happened but we decided to head out for dinner because my wife and I could not see our kids this Thanksgiving. Sat down and got served right away. Order came, food was delicious as usual, then.......nothing. The bartender did not look...at us, ask us how things were, would we like another drink....nothing. People came and sat down in the booth beside us and he went over 3 times, not once did he even turn his head to look at us so I could grab his attention. Ran back to the bar as quickly as he could, always facing away from us, speaking to his friend at the bar. I couldnt't even get his attention to pay the bill. Terribly frustrating to have this happen during a frustrating time in the world. Last time we will be heading into this establishment, if they don't care enough to survive this pandemic then I can spend my money somewhere, with someone, that does.More

Just happened to drop in on wing night. We also ran in to other friends who were there as well for the wings - great choices. Screens to watch spits and good customer service

Had not been there in about 10 years and had always enjoyed the food there. Lots of free parking, big area inside with tables nicely spaced. Looked as there were quite a few regulars. The huge light fixture at the bar is worth seeing. We...were there in the afternoon, so not too busy. Nice background music, a few TV screens but no noise. Large selection of beer on tap. I had the Reuben on toasted marble rye with lots of meat, sauerkraut and cheese. A very good spicy grainy mustard and a pickle on the side. The French fries were crispy, not like the soggy or under cooked ones you find at other establishments. My wife had the mussels in a tomato, garlic onion sauce finished with feta. Good dish. The waitress noticed she was wearing white pants, so she brought over an additional cloth to avoid any mishaps of red tomato sauce on white pants. This was very appreciated. A couple of beers were a good choice for the meal. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive. There was no push to drink and drink more. According to my wife bathrooms were clean and OK. Easily accessible from Southland and Anderson, just off McLeod.More

Went for a drink and some snacks midafternoon with my sons and a friend of theirs. Prices were good, food was good, our server was good BUT I could not get over the language being used by the ladies serving (not the woman who was...serving us) and the way they were yelling at each other from one side of the room to the other. I was there with 3 people with special needs, and each time one of them yelled it was almost too much for my guys. Then the song Purple Rain came on, and someone with control of the audio cranked it so loud that we could no longer hear each other at our table. Good song, didnt need to be that loud in the afternoon with about 6 customers inside. Would have given you a 5, but the insensitivity and lack of professionalism displayed was not acceptable.More

Ordered nachos and found pineapple randomly in them. While prices are decent place is in need of a refresh. Washrooms are gross.

Went to the Swan a few weeks ago after not visting in years... and wow.. not much has changed. Looks pretty much the same. The building is looking tired and in need of renovations. The food was ok. The changed the fries and they aren't...nearly as good as they were before. The steak sandwich was still good. But just looks like a tired old bar in need of some attention.More

Typical bar service. Used to serving drinks and it shows. Ask for food menus, 15 minute wait. Sets you up for a long night...

Friends from the neighbourhood meet for dinner and drinks monthly on a Thursday. Bottles of wine are $20 and the food is excellent - my personal favourite is the Chicken Monterey- Swan house specialty. Jackie is always our server and she remembers us all. We’ve...been coming here since February 2018 because our old haunt was closed for renovations. The Black Swan is a much better choice as couples are saving $5 to $10, have better parking and better food.More

Great food. Usually great service but this time our server would come up and stare at us. Grabbed our mini menu at our table once and then just left. No comments made. We asked for water and were brought one tiny plastic glass. Washrooms are...always dirty. They are small as well. Upohlstery is stained or missing cushion and needs updating.More
