Went for breakfast. The cafe is in a cute historical building and one of the few places downtown to grab breakfast mid-week. We had the regular breakfast, and it was simple and quick. For what we got, it was one the pricier side $13.75 for...the 2 egg, 1 meat and $3.50 for coffee but at least the coffee was bottomless. Overall, I did enjoy the atmosphere and if you need a quick morning bite, it's a good choice.More

I liked the breakfast, I had the burrito and it was good. Service is friendly and efficient. I am not sure why the recent reviews were so negative, I would come back. Be sure to check out the museum in the basement.

Breakfast on our 10th anniversary. Service was ok but not special. My wife had the Ed's Benedict which was not very good (one of the cheeses just sat as a lump on top) and the hash browns were quite greasy. I enjoyed the huevos rancheros...but again would not go out of my way to have them again. All in all underwhelming.More

Came for a late breakfast with my family at around 10:30am as the restaurant was close to our hotel. I would say service was below average. Took forever to place our order and had to ask for refills on our coffee from someone other than...our server as we barely saw her. Felt like she was avoiding our table for some reason. No one came and checked to see if we enjoyed our meal or had everything we needed. Had to borrow ketchup from the people at the table beside us. No menu to order off of for the kids. Breakfast with no drinks for our 3 children and very basic meals and portions came to $100.00. Cute building, but also extremely hot in there. Won’t be going back.More

Coffee was horrible and our order was forgotten. Other patrons arrived after us and received their meals before we received anything. Waitress seemed to be avoiding us and finally returned to our table and admitted that something happened to our order. The food did arrive...quickly but was not impressed. Again the coffee kind of set the tone, absolutely no taste whatsoever. Cutting corners? Not sure. When we received the bill there was no asking how the meal was -- it was as if they knew we were not pleased and they couldn't wait for us to leave. They did not charge us for our coffee, small olive branch on their part. With many breakfast options out there, would not go back unless I had a reason to believe quality and service improved.More

Came out to Calgary for a couple of days for the stampede and decided to come here for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend. The food portions were huge!! The food was really nice and so so filling. Coffee refills without having to ask....Cute little cafe the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because our waitress was so incredibly rude it kind of ruined the atmosphere! When we were being seated to our table she accidentally turned round whilst I was passing and she huffed and went “oh my godddd really!!!” Even though I apologised a few times for knocking her arm. She didn’t seem interested in taking our orders and before we even asked for the bill she came to our table and said “card machine is down. you’ll have to pay cash.” No apology. Then pretty much then our bills at us. However the other waitress stated that the card machines did work! I think this one waitress either needs a lesson in customer service or just needs some time off. Anyways other than her attitude the place is lovely and we’ll probably be back.More

I haven't eaten here in 40 years and time has not affected this restaurant. Service was good with endless refills. Great menu with great food. Don't have eggs benedict as there is no sauce just gouda melted on eggs prepared the way you like them...on toast. Probably will go again as my daughter and lady friend were really happy with their meals.More
