We were a group of six friends visiting for lunch. We all enjoyed a delicious meal and friendly, efficient service. The schnitzel was everyone’s favorite dish. Can’t wait to return.

Hi there, If you are putting it on the menu please get it right. In a pie pastry, with red peppers and corn. Never in a million years is that a Sheppard's pie. Also TOP TIP Sheppard's pie is made with LAMB, Cottage pie is...made with beef. Very disappointed.More

I was invited to a business lunch at The Big Rock Grill and I must say - it was AWESOME! The "Grand Schnitzel" has arrived! Chef Harry took his favorite Schnitzel to the next level. THIS ONE was 1.3kg and served all 4 people. Accompanied...by traditional Warm Potato Salad, Fine Egg Salad and Cranberry Sauce. If you're a hungry group and you would like to give your friends and family some "Schnitzel - love" this is the way to do it! Highly recommended! I believe you have to pre-order.More

The food at Big Rock Grill is always amazing. However, this time it was even bigger and better. Chef Harry served The Grand Schnitzel! This is the size of a schnitzel we have been waiting for... Well done :-)

First time visiting Big Rock Grill - felt safe - customer distancing between tables was good! The Server (wearing face mask) was congenial, fun and accommodating! The Food - was VERY Good - I had the 'Smoked Salmon Salad' and I have to say that...the Smoked Salmon was the best I have EVER had!! The Friends I was with all enjoyed their meals too! Thank you!! I will be back!!More

Such a great experience! We had the Schnitzel and the Chicken pot pie, they were both excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful and our server Sonja was amazing! We were a little nervous to go out to eat with all this COVID stuff however Sonja really...made us feel comfortable. Excellent place to eat, will definitely be back!More

We had the Chicken Pot Pie last night and it was excellent. There was a nice mix of flavours, it was creamy but not too rich, and an extra benefit for us, it wasn't too salty. And, the crust was delicious. There were 3 of...us and we ate 3/4 of the 10' pie. And Harry delivers which is especially nice right now.More

I gotta tell you that I have been disappointed in the Big Rock Grill in the past, but this last visit totally changed my mind. Three of us went for lunch one cold Calgary day. The place was busy and we managed to snag the...2nd to last table. It took a while before we were served, understandable due to the lunch crowd, but eventually we ordered our drinks (coffee for me, a pint of the Scottish ale for my wife and a rose cider for my son). The drinks arrived soon after and both my wife and my son really liked what they had ordered. I had the turducken burger and a small goulash soup, my wife ordered a schnitzel burger with swiss cheese and my son had the chicken schnitzel. The soup was ok, a 4, not a five, but our mains all rated a 5 for taste, presentation and portion size. Not cheap, our bill came to $98 before tip, but worth it for the food. While a bit out of our way, we intend to return soon.More

As we happened to be in the neighborhood we decided to return to this well known spot for lunch. We were superbly looked after by Andrea and were soon deep in our entrees of fish and chips. We both had a cider which was tasty...and refreshing.More

I took some clients form out of town yesterday and LOVED the Oktoberfest theme/food/beers. They LOVED it also. What a treat. We were going there because I knew the food was good, but what a surprise. The service was good, food was excellent and our...clients said they want to come back when they are in town again.More

We enjoyed a great group outing at the Big Rock Grill, organized for a conference we attended, which included a tour of their brewing operations for anyone who was interested. The buffet meal that was arranged for us highlighted their Shepherd Pie, which was delicious....We asked about their salad dressing and were advised it was a chef’s creation. Chef Harry came to our table and discussed how he put the dressing together and what other ingredients worked well with it. The evening was a big success for everyone.More

I always enjoy being able to try beers that aren’t on the shelf at the local liquor store so having a good lunch to accompany that is always a plus. The smoked duck protein add was good but next time I’d maybe try an alternative...protein. Good experience all around, worth checking out and while you’re there I recommend taking a brewery tour.More
