Founded in 1979 and family-run ever since. At Nick's, we pride ourselves on feeding Calgarians hearty portions of delicious food at fair prices, with friendly, warm service. Steak and pizza are our specialties, but our menu is vast and everyone can find what they are in the mood for! Our dining room and bar retain the unique 1970's charm we are known for. This was our first time eating at Nick's and even though there are so many great food choices in Calgary - we will definitely be back the next time we are in town. The menu was extensive - and there was something for everyone. Each of us was thrilled with our meals - they were delicious, steaks were cooked perfectly, and the prices were more than reasonable. The portions were very generous and we wrapped up quite a bit to take home. The servers were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We would highly recommend!

Nick’s is a Calgary classic, must-visit place. The pizza is outstanding, the staff is friendly, they have overflow parking on the N side of the property, and the atmosphere is like a welcoming hug from your grandpa. The Stampeder’s memorabilia on the walls in the bar is fabulous to look at. We love the Nick’s seasoned salt: buy some at the front counter to take home. The garlic dipping sauce for the pizza is delicious. Thank you, server Olivia, for a wonderful supper visit.
One item to fix: men’s washroom hand-dryer blows only cold air, doesn’t dry your hands.

We are from Ontario and when looking for a place to gather this restaurant was recommended for a family get together. Wow, were they so right!
There were 8 of us and every entree served was well presented and absolutely delicious. We all shared in a couple of desserts and boy they were so good. Yum. The staff were helpful, attentive and delightful and we thank them, and all those who made our meal and time in the restaurant so wonderful. We are returning to Calgary for a family reunion a little later and where are we going to celebrate? Nicks Steakhouse & Pizza for sure!

Wanted a steak salad and waitress advised me they didn’t have one but could add the steak to my salad which I thought was awesome. Until I got my bill, the Caesar salad was 16 dollars and the added steak was 18 dollars so I had a 40 dollar steak salad , I thought that was very high. I purchase steak salads a lot around city and usually never pay more than 26. Food was great and service was also, but can’t believe how much they charged me for the steak, 8-10 dollars I would have been ok with , even my customer near fell on floor. I will not be going back there again. I eat five days a week. Sorry Guys!!

We serve only the finest AAA Alberta beef, aged a minimum of 35 days, charbroiled and seasoned with our own blend of herbs and spices. When receiving steak on your salad, it is an 8 ounce center-cut sirloin. Our prices reflect the quality of our ingredients. I wish you would have asked your server what the price was, as you could easily have had something else.

This used to be an old favourite, but went again & I won't go back. It took over 45 minutes to get chicken wings, calamari and a basic salad. We flagged down our server to find out why it was taking so long. She didn't even stop but just kept walking by, never got a chance to ask anything, she just said food is coming soon.
Asked for water refill & was given a vase of water. Didn't refill the glasses just put at the far end of the booth out of reach. eventually she came back & I asked if she could pass it to me. Passed it to me, but didn't pour the water. There was so much ice that as soon as you tried to pour it, the ice and water went all over our food. Guess that is why she left us on our own.
It was a long wait due to poor service and the food was mediocre and cold.
Very expensive for what you get. No gluten free unless you have the salad. If you are both dairy & gluten free don't bother.

We have a number of menu options that can be prepared gluten free and dairy free including; steaks, chicken dishes, salmon, wings, ribs, as well as salads. Thankfully, experiences like yours are the exception not the norm here at Nick's Steakhouse & Pizza. We try to be as efficient and fast as possible while maintaining excellent service, and this is why we deliver carafes of water to tables. I apologize for the server not filling your glasses with water before leaving your table.

The chicken tetrazzini was missing any chicken! I have ordered this dish in the past, and there were pieces of chicken breast visible. I could not see a single piece of chicken this time. Although the dish was large, I did not feel it was worth $28. without the chicken. Prices are not as reasonable as they once were. The Sunday special prime rib is now $59.- makes a person think twice about ordering that meal.

6 oz filet had outstanding flavor; lasagne was really good too. Can order a side salad or some entrees come with. Was able to add extra veggies instead of potato/rice options. Would have liked to try a pizza - they looked really good when servers came by to serve others.

We stopped for a quick lunch. Ordered two 10 inch pizzas, one small salad and a sprite. The bill came to $72 before tip.
Nick’s has been an old favourite of ours, but not sure we can afford to come very often anymore at these prices.

Our prices on our menu are more than fair. At Nick's, we use only the freshest, finest quality ingredients following the original recipes for over 44 years. Unfortunately, the cost of ALL goods world-wide has increased dramatically over these past few years. Given these, and many other challenges, we feel our price structure keeps us more than competitive.

Our family of 5 loved Nick’s! The chicken Parmesan was huge and amazing! All the food was really good from the calamari appetizer to the salmon, seafood fettucine, Caesar salad, and chicken. We even tried the desserts which were great! Service was top notch. If we’re ever back in the area we will certainly return.

We enjoyed a wonderful summer evening in their dog friendly patio. Our server was amazing and very friendly and attentive. The food was all great, the house salad dressing was delicious, and all our meals felt home cooked to perfection. Walking distance from the hotels as we were there to drop off our son for University. We will return during another visit.

Went here for a birthday meal with family. We were not disappointed. Food was first class, the waiters were a credit to the management. Got surprised with a sweet served with a sparkler, far too small for all the candles that would have been needed. Happy Birthday was even in tune!!!

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door and so out of convenience, decided on take-out from Nick's. Best decision ever! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous!
The calamari was crisp and crunchy, scallopini veal was served with a generous side of spaghetti, and the seafood fettucine in rose sauce was amazing. Unfortunately the kids' fish & chip was sealed in an airtight aluminum container so it got to be quite soggy. It was also unfortunate that while the website advertised a free beverage with every kids meal, we were not offered the same courtesy through the online ordering app.
Nevertheless, I think we'll return the next time we visit Calgary, for the full dine-in experience.

This has become our go to place for dinner when we arrive in Calgary.
The menu is broad and there is a nice selection of beers.I had veal medallions, which were delicious and tender. My wife had the seafood fettuccine, which was also excellent, though there was far too much pasta and it got wasted.
Service was friendly and efficient. Our server, Lily, was a delight and we enjoyed meeting her. We wish her luck when classes resume at the university.
Come and try it. You will like it.

We were here on a recommendation for a family dinner. Best recommendation ever!! The food was fantastic and the service attentive. I had the Seafood Fettuccini and it was delicious. Lots of scallops, shrimp and mussels! Another in our group had the New York Striploin and said it was one of the best steaks he’s had. Everyone was happy and satisfied with their orders. We liked the retro vibe of this place and highly recommend to others.

It's been nearly 15 years since I moved from Calgary so I decided to visit an old favourite and was not disappointed. Granted the decor has not changed one bit and I laughed at the "hand" written price changes on the menu, but still found what I always came for....great pizza! I chose the four cheese and had mushrooms and onions added and it was fabulous! Love the baked crust!! We also split some wonderful potato skins and some custom pasta. No request was refused and our server was confident and kind. Thanks for the memories!
