Loved everything about our visit. Great down town location. Patio was cozy with all the heaters and blankets. Service was top knotch and the food was incredible!! Order the WAGYU Carpaccio. It is the best thing I've ever tasted. Omgosh I wished I could eat...it everyday!! We loved it so much we ordered a second!! The steaks we ordered were the best steaks we've ever had. This steakhouse has their steaks made to absoloute perfection! We ordered the BBQ prime sirloin and the hanger steak. The brussel sprouts as a side are incredible, and the potatoe salad was delicious as well! Order the cesars. Thank me later.More

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Saltilk. Started with Calamari, best I've had since living in Australia. Enjoyed a nice bottle of Stump Jump Shiraz. For the main we had sirloin with roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, spicy broccoli and grilled asparagus. Everything was perfect and...mouthwatering! Our server Patrick was professional and friendly. Had to top off dinner with Sticky Toffee pudding which was as delicious as I was hoping. Ver memorable experience and would go back!More

This was our first visit to the Saltlik and still on the fence about our dining experience. First let me say that the food was delicious, cooked to perfection! The portion size of the sides was a bit on the small size compared to other..."steakhouses" though. Our server was not unfriendly, but definitely not very attentive. She took our drink order and meal order and then that was the last time at the table other than to clear our plates. Didn't check in on us for beverages or even after we received our entrees. We seemed to wait quite a long time to get our food, restaurant was not busy as we came earlier than the dinner rush. The restaurant itself is lovely inside and I especially liked the downstairs area. It was clean and bathrooms were terrific. The only thing holding us back from re-visiting would possibly be the inattentive service.More

My husband and I went to Saltlik for his birthday dinner on a friend’s recommendation. We were very impressed. We got a complimentary glass of Prosecco upon sitting down because I mentioned in the reservation it was for a birthday. We each had a cocktail...and then ordered the crab and lobster cakes for our appetizer the only complaint about them would be that I wish there was more!! But of course it allowed us to pace ourselves for our entrees. I had the peppercorn New York strip with a loaded baked potato and a small side of mushrooms. My husband and I shared the asparagus with truffle hollandaise. This sauce was the star of the show. I told our server that I could likely dip cardboard in the sauce and it would taste good!! The sauce had just the right amount of truffle flavour it was beautiful and subtle. My steak had so much wonderful flavour and the other sides were very good. My husband had the filet mignon. It was very good also. If they were to swap the bearnaise for the truffle hollandaise sauce for the filet, that would be a game changer!!! Lastly we shared a sticky toffee pudding. The sponge was served warm with sweet toffee sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream which cut the sweetness of the dessert. It was delicious and finished off a wonderful evening. I would definitely recommended Saltlik.More

Friendly but unfortunately slow service on the night that we ate at Saltlik - understandably so as there was a large party in their lower level that evening. The starters (calamari and wagyu carpacio ) were really delicious. The steak we had was mediocre in...flavour, but had a delicious lobster mashed potato. The sauce of the scallops and gnocchi was excellent - probably better if the steak was slathered in it! Overall a decent dinner at Calgary's SALTLIK.More

Great night out! This was my first visit to a sit down restaurant since COVID-19 started. Feeling a bit nervous I was put at ease with all the visual precautions put in place; hand sanitizer, face masks or shields, direction arrows on the floor and...good spacing of tables. The wait staff had wonderful service. Now the steaks were super tasty and a good portion too! Looking forward to visiting Saltlik again next time I make the trip to Calgary!More

I did order the ravioli with salmon at 33$ and was very disappointed with the size of the portion: six raviolis with a small piece of salmon and a few asparagus; when noticing the waiter, he said that the manager would come to see me....Fifteen minutes later, the manager came and offered me some garlic bread to compensate for the size of the portion. I said that this would not be acceptable and that I would have expected at least a few more raviolis. They finally brought me five more raviolis and more asparagus. No more salmon offered. Not enough though and I left still hungry. My wife had a salad and was ok with it. The waiter did offer a very good service though but I go to restaurants for the food. Very disappointing for our second dinner in Calgary as the day before, for a very similar meal I had twice the size for almost half the price in a well rated restaurant in the same area. Bottom line: if you are hungry, do not go there.More

Came as a couple for a nice steak dinner and it was awesome. They had bottle service, the sommelier was great. If we hadn't brought our own wine, the wine menu was extensive and really good. We both ordered Chicago-style steak and they were both...cooked to perfection! We had lobster mashed potatoes and they were served in a tower type dish and were absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. We had zero issues and highly recommend!More

Depends of day and time really - we go quite often and can vary from casual (jeans / smart casual) to a more formal business attire - definitely no shorts.
