Totally Love this restaurant. So nice to see its still open considering covids restrictions where so many others closed. Delivery during covid was great but Totally enjoy going inside. We love going to Singapore Sam’s for great dinners with family and friends! Service is consistent and attentive to our sometimes many requests. Their food with its unique Peking style Chinese selections is always delicious and appetizing when we’ve gone there. We went to Singapore Sam’s in Calgary for a family dinner. I have to say that the food was excellent. Everything came out fresh and hot. The portions were really a good size. The food was delicious ! Stopped by for an order to go at 4:50 pm, May 6th. Hadn't been there for years, since COVID. Friday night, should be organized... From the outside, it looked dark, dreary, and not very inviting. I don't understand why more places don't pay attention to...curb appeal. It least invest in some lighting. Entrance was same as the last time 3-5 years ago, and probably longer. I think there business is the late night crowd and pick ups, so they don't really care what the place looks like. Mind you, there are quite a few restaurants around Calgary these days that don't seem to understand the importance of cleanliness, lighting, clean your sidewalk, wash your windows, etc. So there was a table blocking the entrance to get into the seating area. There were no servers there, just the cook. Some little kid who was already in there, went running to the back to get the cook who let me in and took my order. It was kind of dark and dingy inside, and they still had the new years dragon from several years ago hanging from the ceiling in one spot. Long story short, shrimp fried rice and ginger chicken. The chicken was not bad, although a bit chewy. Rice was warm at best, and hard. I'm thinking it was fresh the day or two before, and then microwaved. Total of 6 shrimps together. Delicious food and safe for Celiacs! We make the trip from Edmonton to enjoy this Gluten Free Chinese food. This is the only place we’ve found that uses a separate fryer so celiacs can enjoy ginger beef and breaded chicken! We were there with non-celiacs...who said the food was the best they had tasted as well!More
I can't say enough about Sam's. Excellent place for a relaxing lunch that will fill you up or for more entertainment, go for dinner on the weekends. They are well known for their ginger beef and candied bananas. I like the salt and pepper squid...too.More
Our family had dinner at Singapore Sam’s over the weekend. The food was delicious and the portions were much larger than we expected. Our server Lisa, was excellent. She was patient, very knowledgable about all the dishes and was there every time we needed assistance....We appreciated all her suggestions. We would definitely recommend Singapore Sam’s, it is the best Chinese food in town and our favourite dish was the deep-fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce. Thank you Singapore Sam’s, we will be back very soon.More
Was in town for Beerfest, while being out and about it was late and I was starving.. To my surprise I was able to get Noodles (Noods) at 2.1.m.... The music was bumping and the staff was incredible... Food was so good I ordered more...to go after eating in.. Next morning was tasty tool...More
I don't think they have changed the deep fryer oil since Christmas... just disgusting shrimp tonite! The odor from the outside of them made you want to stop, but no... I forged on... one bite and dumped it all in the bin. Extremely bad... I...will never order again and I have been going there for 40 years... horrible that they don't notice the smell when they are serving...More

Well, if there could be a 0, I'd score this place at that, nothing to do with food - have not tried it. Found this restaurant when were were looking for Chinese food pick up fairly late at night - around 11 pm, so came...in to order there. The person working there offered us the menu and we made our selections, than he left to punch it in on another computer not in front of us (weird but whatever), came back with the bill about 15 bucks higher than expected, both prices different than the menu given at first (yes, I can add and probably 1-2$ would not be noticed but this was almost double of the original amount). I asked why the price is different, he apologized and said he'll make an adjustment. Well, we just turned around and left, as that is not the service we find acceptable. Again don't know about the food, just felt like posting this will make others aware and careful about this place. Not good!!More
They just renovated so nice and newer again, same fantastic ginger beef. Always amazed at how consistently good the food here is. I'm a regular and for good reason.
