I went to this restaurant with a friend. The waiter explained the approach of this restaurant which is some form of family dining - large portions. We ordered the grilled Caesar salad, roasted Brussels sprouts and the Branzino. The salad was find but nothing special. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and delicious. Vivo is definitely one of the best restaurants in Edmonton. We were able to enjoy Vivo again in mid-June to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The servers are knowledgeable and professional and take the time to explain the dishes when they are brought to the table. On a recent visit to Edmonton to visit our daughter, we were recommended this restaurant because of its 'family' style Italian cuisine. We rented the private room which was good for about 10 people. We did the family style food which was ok. There was lots of food and a decent amount of left overs. The risotto was nothing special. When visiting Edmonton I was taken to this restaurant in a somewhat obscure location in West Edmonton suburbia. As explained by the waiter, the food is served family style. This is Italian family dining at its finest. No doubt, it's expensive, but definitely a great special occasion spot. Book far in advance. Great Food! Great Service! The Grilled Sea Bass was out standing. The Caprese Salad Fresh assorted Tomatoes, Bufala Mozzarella, Fresh Pesto mmmm... Remember all their Dishes are meant to be shared!!
