The restaurant is informal and appears to be more geared toward all the community groups that use the facility as a dinner meeting place. Ive been here a few times and the restaurant is always empty but the meeting rooms are full. The buffet is therefore popular. Food is good and plentiful. Pretty basic place and food is just 'simply... More

Eight of us went to the German Club Restaurant to celebrate the Birthday of two long time friends. We started with the Salad, which was very fresh, the Buffett was good and there was plenty of dessert to choose from. The Service was excellent, very attentive.

Have been here twice for office Christmas gatherings and Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest was fun and loud, pretzel and beer and native clothing and dancing. The Christmas parties buffet is small and hit and miss. Last year, the food was not very good taste or appearance wise. This year, taste was much better but limited selection. Only meat was fish, devilled eggs... More

Good german buffet food. Check hours. Not open every day. Salad was good, good variety. My favorite was the roll mops. herring with a pickled cucumber. Entries were good. german noodles were very good. Caper mushroom meatballs were the best I have ever had. Moist and very tasty. Well done. The three kids loved the soups. Very good. Wife and... Have been to the German Culture Centre many times over the past year and have found that the buffet dinner has improved immensely since Ernie has been cooking. The variety of the salad bar is to die for, very good! the main coarse, good variety, tasty and hot. The dessert all very delicious! so many selections. The price of $19.95... More

I am really surprised to see the quality of food rise so dramatically in the last couple of months. Last year, the restaurant was the usual bland fare one would normally expect at a buffet-style restaurant: tasteless, unimaginative, rubbery and either too cold or too hot and overcooked because of the steam ovens. I have had the opportunity to go... More

We have come here previously. This time, we were happy. Chicken noodle or Beef Barley soup. Both were very good. The usual salad bar or various items including pickled herring. We had the spatzle, (which was okay this time, but not awesome), schnitzel (which was good, but a little greasy) potato pancakes (which I believe were called rotisi) and the... More

We had Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday October 11/14 and really looked forward to a great German buffet. The salad bar had a good variety of food but the main buffet left much to be desired. There were mashed potatoes, rice, mixed vegetables, pork dish, red snapper and chicken. It being the thanksgiving weekend we thought that they would have had... More
