Owner was stumbling around drunk and being rude to customers and servers alike. Turns out they're the same owners as the pub next door. Save yourself the hassle and money and go to Bar Bricco close by!

My husband and I love the Wine Room! The wine selection is unique and delicious, the small plates and charcuterie boards are amazing and the service is exceptional! Mona and her staff strive to create the perfect informal, customized and comfortable wine and charcuterie experience!...Such an incredible hidden gem in downtown Edmonton! You will love every moment of your time at the Wine Room!More
I took a friend here as a treat since there is great atmosphere, decent wine choices and great Charcuterie. I knew of this place since my wife and I tried it about a year ago. It is great place to visit since it isnt' too...loud, jazz music in the background and it is comfortable. Mind you, it is a bit romantic for two guys to hang out but each to their own. The service is quick, attentive and very accommodating. If I would want anything different it would be that are more "wine by the glass" choices and I would have liked at least one more cheese selection (especially a soft choice) on our "chef's choice" board. If I remember correctly there were only 6 red choices by the glass. I would have liked a broader range of choice especially since two of them were CABs. The wine prices are a bit steep as well but I would recommend this place for a nice wine outing but maybe take a date and not a good buddy, lol.More
Exceptional wine, cheese and charcuterie selections on an iPad menu. Intimate setting to have a conversation. Excellent attention to detail with decor - especially if the bathrooms. Very much appreciated the excellent customer service as well. Would definitely go back.
Awesome service, great atmosphere, excellent wine choices👌👌. Going to have to make this a regular place to visit.
Went with my wife and another couple for wine and charcuterie. The wine choices are extensive and diverse. My wife only likes sweet fruity white wine and was prepared not to be able to find that type of wine here but they even had something...for her. Food was quite good, especially liked their version of a cheese fondue. It was relatively expensive but we were there a long time and enjoyed our evening.More
If you enjoy wine and an intimate dining experience this is the place to go. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. The decor is fantastic, the food was excellent and the wine Magnificent! Can’t wait to go back.
My husband and I went out for a drink after dinner while we were downtown. We found The Wine Room and we fully enjoyed our experience. They sold wines by the ounce at $2.75 each. The also had food and bottle of wines for sale....We each tried some wines. The ambience was very tasteful and the room was light by candlelight. They played jazz and blues music but you could still easily hear one another talk across from one another. I would recommend this place for couples and dates.More
We have been here a few times, originally for the wine and now it is a destination for charcuterie. If it is only the ywo of us we have 2 meats and 2 cheeses and it is lots. Their boards include a lot of nuts,...fruits and pickles as well as what you select so it is a great taste experience and it looks pretty neat also.More
What an amazing spot for a date. The wine is great and the food is amazing. The atmosphere really makes the place nice. Can't wait to go back.
The great things about this wine bar is the service, the decor, the food, and the wine. Everyone that served us was very helpful and once we got our order, it was delicious and my wife and I had a great experience. Once you get...used to the electronic menu (iPad), you can order with ease. Wines and food are listed on the iPad as selections with additional information on them both. Wines can be purchased by the ounce or by bottle and they are a bit higher priced than other places. Sampling wines could tally up to be pretty expensive, so consider buying a bottle and sticking to one wine you like. For food, the charcuterie selection of meats and cheeses was very good but having a few more hot dish selections would have been nice. Charcuterie, curry shrimp (hot), bottle of wine, and 6 oz of wine tasting was $150. Would definitely return!More
Wow!!! By far the best place I have been in Edmonton. A great romantic evening filled with wine and delicious cheese. Dimmed lights and fancy wine decors. Well hidden until you find the secret door which gives it an extra something. You won't want to...leave since you have so many choices of wine to choose from; from buying bottles or tasting each by the ounze.More
Not worth it. Rude and snotty service. We did not have a reservation, but it was empty in there on a Sat afternoon. Hard to find, dark, no windows.
Great spot but kind of hard to find right beside the Pub 1905 on Jasper Ave. Some unusual wines by the glass and an even bigger selection if you want to have whole bottle. They have a limited menu but the items they make are...excellent. Prices are a little steep. The bill was a little bit of a shock after we ate and downed a few nice bottles with a group of friends.More
The service in this place is so bad I couldn't not write a review. Manager and waiter was extremely grumpy and rude. Didn't serve us for about 30 min at least. We ordered almost $400 worth of food and wine in a matter of an...hour and a half and half way through we got asked to keep it down because apparently our voices were too loud. It is extremely pretentious and snobby. There was no help with the wine menu at all and they didn't care to have us there so we decided to take our money else where. Will never be back.More
