Being from NS I thought I would support an Atlantic Canadian style pub. The waitress (who turned out to be part owner) was very friendly and recommended the seafood pasta and mentioned she had whole clams (not those strip things). Well I have eaten in some very expensive restaurants all over the world and have never had a better seafood... More

Food was ok , nice to see east coast items such as fried pepperoni and donairs. Inside was well decorated and gave an authentic east coast fishing shanty feel . Only real way to improve would be the food, I had fisherman plate and fish and breaded scallops were over cooked . Beer was also served in a warm glass... More

Very excited for some good seafood. Ordered the mussels in garlic butter. Portion was really small, and unfortunately they were almost too salty to eat. Fries were actually too salty to eat. My partner ordered battered cod and the fish was grey when he cut into it. We won't be going back - lots of better options in the area.

We went the the Atlantic Trap and Gill for a stagette last weekend and had a blast!! The service was great! The bouncers took care of my drunk friends and made sure they were ok. The food was good! The band Dirty Pool were fantastic! It was my first time there and I will certainly be back!!

We were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted a restaurant we could walk to. The hotel website didn't list many, and the desk clerk could only come up with a Chinese place across the street. So we narrowed down the website choices and started walking to the closest one. On the way there, we found The Atlantic Trap &... More

First time going here in 2 years and will never go back, terrible food and service. We had bacon wrapped scallops which were sitting in a bowl full of butter, they were disgusting. I'm from the east coast and this doesn't portray Atlantic Canada very well, also had chips with dressing and gravy, super salty and wasn't real dressing. Another... More

Atmosphere plus plus plus. A real comfortable east coast pub 5 minutes from the south end of the stampede grounds. The pub is decorated with nets, fish traps and nick knacks that enhance the experience. The beer is cold. The food is ok, the deep fried pepperoni is real good.

I have never been to an East Coast style pub before but I'm glad I went to the Atlantic Trap and Gill. Great atmosphere, the place is all done up with fish nets and all sorts of other fishing goodies. Lots on tap, good selection of muchies and not everything is seafood. Little touches of East Coast humour in the... More
