One of the cheapest happy hour downtown. Had a lot of items off the menu and all good. Pizza, Lasagna with meat balls, wor won ton soup and beef dip all crowd favorites and great. Prices are good as well. Service always fantastic and staff...friendly especially Mary. No kids allowed. The have pool table, juke box and VLTs.More

Time to grab lunch after converting some currency at my bank downtown. I thought they were closed because I didn't see anyone until I walked into the bar and someone shouted from the back that they would be right out. I was told to take...a seat anywhere. Looking out at the vast expanse of empty tables, I figured a table by the window would at least let me feel there were others in the universe with me, even if they were outside! I ordered a Coke and the veal cutlet with fries and veggies. The fries were okay though the steamed vegetables just seemed insipid. The two veal cutlets were covered with a brown gravy and had a few rings of red onion laying over the top. The big surprise was attempting to carve through these cutlets! I had been given a fairly sharp steak knife for the task but it was a real chore extricating the first piece. How is it possible to cook a cutlet to the consistency of a two by four? This is a very old location and even with two more tables now occupied, it just seemed all the darker taking into account what I had been served. Note to self: Don't ever think about returningMore

The pizza reminds me of the pizza we used to get when I was a kid -- homemade dough that isn't too soggy and not to crunchy. The sauce is tomatoey and not too spicy. From the outside it might look like a bit of...a dive but there have been recent upgrades inside and the staff are really nice people.More

A friend of mine is a regular here and I can see why. Interesting little spot that attracts many different kinds of people. Owners are friendly. Weekend Karaokee is fun, and prices are right. The food isn't bad either. The Wasabi beef sandwich is really...good. Pizza isn't bad. The Wonton soup smells amazing. Will try it next time.More

Unfortunately they keep raising their prices and the portions get smaller. Their side dishes are really expensive $2.95 for a piece of garlic bread, ouch!

I went here for a business lunch with a friend. The food was fast and the service was great. My only comment is the location looks like it's straight out of a 70's movie, could use a bit of updating, but it also brings a...bit of charm.More

I have been coming to this place for years since one of my co-workers is very frugal and loves this place. This is an overlooked place just off of Jasper Ave. Mainly a pub with a restaurant on the side. The luncheon food menu is...large, but standard fare, with lots of choices for pizza and sizes. The 8 inch pizza is more than enough for one person and is reliable good. The wor wonton soup and the chef's cob salad are really good. Order the soup, it is usually great instead of the fries. Their French fries are the string fries and usually overcooked and greasy. Service is fast and friendly, the girls have been there for a long time and know what they are doing. You can get in and out within the hour, with a big meal and soft drink, plus tip for under 15 bucks.More

We have been visiting Hawkeyes Too over the past 1 and a half years . The pizza is like old school pizza ,satisfying with generous toppings and cheese, great value. Wor wonton soup is another favourite ,and includes healthy veges like broccoli, and comes with a...small bowl of hot sauce so you can add as you like.I can highly recommend the green onion cakes which go very well with our wine and beer. Friends we've taken there have really enjoyed sitting in the big comfy lounge chairs and listening to the juke box. There a pool table as well .The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with very approachable servers.Special mention to Mary for her care, hard work and attentiveness. Must add too the venue itself is very clean and well maintained .More
