Normand's is a cozy little bistro, with a relaxed atmosphere. Each day you can look forward to new lunch features including soup, sandwiches and seafood. The dinner menu has a wide variety. Each day we offer at least one wild game dish. The exquisite preparation of each dish in a savory sauce is what makes each meal a special treat. Normand's: where the menu is country French with an Alberta accent. We are well known for our wild game menu which is offered in October and November as is customary in France. We have wild Arctic Muskox, Rankin Inlet Caribou, Elk, Wild Boar and Fish such as Arctic Char. We create a super dish of braised Alberta Boar Shanks with roasted red peppers, honey, whiskey

Visited for the first time for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Never even heard of this place before, but based on their (well desevered) high TA status, we thought we'd check it out. The owner was actually doing a lot of the up-front...work, checking in guests when they arrive, checking on tables, etc which ws nice to see. We gathered that he has a lot of repeat customers, and probably has for years if not decades. The food and service were fantastic, and there was a lot of interesting items on the menu (kangaroo and elk steaks!). We will be back again. Thank you!More

Making a wedding during a pandemic can be challenging and frustrating. When I wanted to host a wedding dinner, Normand's made it easy. His suggestion of Kir Royale for a pre dinner drink was spot on, as was his suggestions for the appetizers as well....He even make mocktails for the youngsters and they were thrilled. After that, everyone ordered an entree from the menu. Normand and his staff handled 29 orders with military precision. The food, as always, was spectacular and the service was stellar. We introduced a few people to wild game for the first time and they were pleasantly surprised as to how tasty it was. I was also pleasantly surprised when the bill came as well. It was a lot less than I expected, even with the drinks! This is why he has been in business for over 30 years. You can always count on me for repeat business and after tonight, you have gained a lot more customers. Thank you to Normand and his staff for making this a memorable evening. Give Normand's a try and you will be very happy you did.More

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted a delicious meal - for our appetizer, we had the liver pata and cream of mushroom soup which were both excellent. My husband had the duck and I had the lobster, shrimp, scallop dish,...they were both very, very good. We'd give Normand's a 5 out of 5 !!!More

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we and our four old friends could not meet at Normand’s for our annual New Year’s dinner. We decided to all order and pick up from Normand’s and share our meals over a virtual meeting. This worked out so well! The...owner was characteristically helpful and personable as we placed our orders, making recommendations and accommodating gluten-free requirements.Their holiday menu was amazing! Our meals were carefully packaged and piping hot. The bison carpaccio and Icelandic char in particular were so delicious! All three couples enjoyed every mouthful, and it was a great evening. We did miss the chats with Normand’s excellent staff, but this was a great substitute during these strange Covid times. Many thanks to the wonderful Normand’s team! Stay well! Looking forward to being back in person!More

We have eaten at Normand's many times but with the pandemic we've not visited for months. We wanted a special dinner for new year's eve and so we ordered from Normand's. Wonderful dinner. There was so much food we had enough for the next day....And of course Normand spoke to me personally when I called to order. He made recommendations and we were thrilled with the meal. Thank you!More

We were very impressed with our first time at Normand’s. The waiter was very attentive and the owner/manager also greeted us. Very friendly service. I had the pesto chicken linguine which was fantastic. My boyfriend had the duck and really enjoyed our meal. Nice cocktail...and wine menu. We will be back.More

Just had another outstanding meal at Normand's. Food and service was stellar as usual. Normand's is not only my favorite restaurant in it's class, but the only one I visit now. The menu has something for everyone. Try the wild game. You will never be...disappointed. Always tasty and never "gamey". Whatever you order, you can be sure it will be excellent. This is the first time we have been to a restaurant since the pandemic started and I was very comfortable dining there. The tables are properly sanitized after patrons have left and the staff follow all AHS protocols. The owner is engaged as usual and truly appreciates your business. That's why he's been in business for over 30 years.More

It had been some time since we dined at Normands but decided to pay them a visit on our last trip to Edmonton. What a wonderful evening. Two members of our party had the meat lovers special (elk, wild boar, double smoked bacon) and I...had the boulouibaise — delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. We all began with starters: escargot, lobster cake and lobster bisque followed by caesar salad...desserts were awesome as well. A great selection of choices of food, a superb wine list, wonderful friendly and competent service. Would go there again in a heartbeat.More
