My mother and I were looking for a nice place to go for lunch downtown and after unsuccessful attempts at going to our usual places, came upon the Urban Diner at Highstreet and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! We both ordered the Black Angus burger, mine was their gluten-free version with soup (as... More

Quaint little diner, good food and great service. Bit of a different menu, but very good. Blueberry compote is to die for. Bread is very good too.

Urban Diner has consistently had the best comfort food in Edmonton for at least the last 13 years I've lived here. Their menu is comprised of classic "americana" dishes with a modern/higher end twist but they maintain massive helpings and everything always tastes like it was cooked with love. The Diner Mac and Cheese (I get it with hamburger mix)... More

Enjoyed the dining choices and the cheerful service. The Cobb Salad was different and delicious presented with style and dressing on the side. My daughter chose the gourmet grilled cheese sandwich and chicken soup which delighted her. My partner enjoyed the chicken sandwich and soup. We shared a mouthwatering dessert of peanut butter balls. Our server really promoted the food... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant serving brunch, as we were searching for breakfast food at 12:30. Three of our party had traditional eggs Benedict, and all but one thought it was very good. The third thought the hollandaise tasted like beer. The coffee was hot and fresh and the chocolate torte was wonderful. I really enjoyed the... More

Great spot for a good meal. We all loved the hashbrowns (mix of all potatoes including sweet potato) and the homemade jam. We will definitely return and tell our friends to stop here.

Nice place, nice decor. The food was okay, sort of what you would expect, nothing more. Service was moderate. It was more expensive than some others. I had salmon eggs Benedict, so it was a little different from my standard bennie I use to compare places. It was not at all busy Monday morning.

Visited the south side location. Tried the Huevos and Frittata which were good, other than the toast and hash browns which were over cooked. Food was served hot and service was very good. Appreciated the free parking at the back of the building.
