I stopped in at Monica’s to grab a bite with the hubby ,, i’ve been having a lot of issues , and there’s now lots that I cannot eat. I really wanted an omelette but could not have any that was on the menu,, the...waitress took one off the menu changed it to my needs and let me tell u it was the best omelet I had ever had. This restaurant served a free hot breakfast if you stayed at the Stanford Inn & Suites. You got your choice of eggs, bacon or sausage or ham, hash browns, and toast. Some of the items in this breakfast tended to be a bit undercooked on...certain days, depending on who the cook was. Overhard eggs were runny. Hash browns were mushy. One waitress was overly friendly.More

I cannot remember the servers name, she was incredible. We walked in shortly after 2pm in which the dining room was supposed to be closed, there was one other table waiting for their food. The waitress told us normally we are closed however I have...some tiding up to do so go ahead and order. She was so pleasant and made sure our coffee cups were filled. The meal was delicious and hot. Definitely would reccomend this establishment even for families.More

Stopped in this morning for breakfast,, seen you on trip, I love eggs Benny it’s my favourite. The waitress persuaded me to have chorizo hash said “ it’s better then the Benny” u got try it. If I go back to Monica’s. I’ll never order...the Benny agin. Best part is ur coffee is always full And I left full. I ate so much probably made myself sick lol.More

I'm am from BC and had to come to Grand Prairie for medical reasons and we stayed in the Stanford Inn. Monica's Family restaurant is the restaurant that is on the property. As soon as we walked in the door the server greeted us with...a smile and let us pick our own seat. She was by our table instantly and was extremely friendly. As we've never been here before she made some suggestions of what was really good on the menu, and let me tell you that was one of the best breakfasts I had in a long time. It wasn't even 10 minutes and we had our order. We didn't even have our second bite in and she did a quality check. Our coffee cups were never empty and she made us feel so welcome. The young ladies name was Misty and if you ever get a chance plz plz head over there and let Misty treat you like family. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Huge shout out to Misty 💙💜💙💜💙More

We went for breakfast to Monica's on Monday, September 20, 2021. The Egg's Benedict was disappointing as the Hollandaise sauce was a pale yellow sauce with no flavour. Order was one Eggs Benedict and second order was sausage and eggs. Breakfast for two with two...coffees was almost $50. When paying with credit card, options for a tip were from 15% to 30%. This is not the United States where minimum wage is far lower than in Canada and in many states, waitresses and waiters receive far less than minimum wage at $2.50 per hour. When you pay for your meal in many states, you are not paying for service hence it is appropriate to pay for service by tipping. Here in Canada, we very much dislike intimidating tactics to extract a large tip from the customer. Having the credit card machine set for 15% to 30% is intimidating and the inference is that those rates are the expectation of the service staff. If waiting staff were being paid less than $5 per hour, the prices on the menu would be much lower. In reality, $49 for two breakfasts is paying for the service and is an expensive breakfast to start with. We will not be returning to Monica's as the food and facility do not justify the high prices. The meals are awesome. Breakfast is the best, lots to eat and the staff is awesome. Restaurant is nice and clean and also the washrooms are very clean.

Amazing food, perfect presentation, I would definitely recommend it, I ordered some items which was tasty and well valuable...

Jade and Duke were awesome and excellent service to my room they even remembered my food order on my second visit over a week later

This This is the second time I've had a lengthy stay at the Stanford and I loved the first time and am loving it equally so the secon time. All the staff are great especially Duke from the restaurant who bought me my delicious breakfast...every morning . I travel with my large dog and there is a dog area behind the hotel close to my room which is perfect and there is also a great deal of privacy here which is one of my favorite parts. All together my with my stay last time and my current stay I have zero complaints!More

Monica's Restaurant in Grande Prairie AB is a must eat from! We shared the Cajun. Prawns, Jack Daniels BBQ Baby Back Ribs and the Asian Bowl with Chicken. All were absolutely delicious. Perfectly done and presented ... including the safe and professional room service. Thanks...so much Duke!More
