I have never had a bad experience at sawmill. Has become one of my favorite places In Grande Prairie . Missed going there during lockdowns. the food is always first rate. the server Terrence is always excellent. Sorry I can't remember the staff from the...bar but her beautiful smile always is joy to see.More

Took the neighbours out for one last dinner before the third lockdown started... food was delicious, packed with a lot of flavour. Their prime rib is always a big hit with us. Customer service was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive even...though the majority of them knew they were being laid off the next day. Will definitely be supporting this business again once restaurants can open again!More

We have often celebrated our birthday and anniversaries here with ourselves and others! Our server Jojo gave us no welcome or any upbeat tone during our meal! My husband mentioned it was my birthday she couldn’t even wish me a happy birthday! The restaurant offered...nothing to make me feel special! We wanted to order a special drink and none was offered! The very worst service in years worldwide! We certainly never left with the warm fuzzy feeling that our birthday celebration was welcomed at their restaurant! Birthday aside the server was cold and unwelcoming... not even a thank you for coming as is customary on many bills today! Would not recommend ever again. Very disappointed!More

Ordered the ribeye steak very disappointed. There was no flavour to the steak. I ordered horseradish which on a good steak I would never do. The horseradish added some flavour to steak. They also don’t offer baked potatoes due to Covid??? I understand they can’t...bring out there thing with the potato toppings. But, can’t they put on in kitchen or bring out toppings in small containers? Will go to the Keg next time for a great ribeye steak.More

Had a date night out with the hubby. Service was great and food was amazing. Started with stuffed mushrooms, calamari and a Bellini. Main course was ribeye with a lobster tail, and finished it off with creme brûlée. It was a perfect evening!

We went for Brunch around 10:30 and were seated immediately. The food was hot and fresh and well presented. Our omlets were cooked quickly and were delicious!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff was good food great and the atmosphere nice. Skirts just a tad too short

Fabulous meal, great atmosphere! We had the bacon wrapped scallops to share, and I had the black and blue ceasar salad. Perfectly cooked. Only thing that I wasn't too happy with was the lettuce was uncut. It looked like it had just had the outer...layers removed, washed and then placed directly on the plate. I didn't need to be the one cutting up my entire salad. I just want to use my steak knife to cut the steak!More

Went for the Prime Rib and wasn’t disappointed. All our meals were presented reasonably quickly considering the restaurant was very busy. This is not inexpensive but I felt the meal was fair at the price.

Had heard great stuff about this place so decided to try it out. The wife and I and another couple and their daughter. We were seated in the dining room. It was a Friday night 7:30pm. Wasn’t very busy. Maybe 4 other tables. We got...our menus and ordered drinks and appetizers and our main courses. 35 minutes later our drinks finally arrived with our appetizers.... wow. 35 mins to get a drink ?? We had escargot which were on a plate of sauce just strewn about with mushrooms chewier than the snails. We waited another half hour for our mains. It’s now 8:30pm and our dishes come out cold. My steak was overcooked. The wife’s undercooked and cold. Our friends med rare prime rib was already dry on top. Not glistening not juicey. She cut into it and not an ounce of juice on the plate. It must have bled out before being served and died under a heat lamp. They forgot her lobster tail and when it came out was damn near raw. Inedible. During our whole experience we saw other patrons complaining and even leaving. To top it off our waitress NOT ONCE asked if we needed anything didn’t ask to refresh drinks nothing throughout the evening. . When we complained to her and called her out about everything she said sorry were slammed .... How? Most had left dissatisfied already. We asked for the manager who was very polite and apologetic. He said they weren’t slammed and no idea why everything went as it did. We explained our terrible service and meals and he took 50% off the bill. Thanks for that but we will NEVER be back. After all the positive reviews where did we go wrong ....More

We have visited many establishments around this city ,and the sawmill is where we will continue to go back to when we want to go out to eat for brunch or supper or just to have appitizers, you will not be disappointed with the amazing...service and always great food ,rearly do you receive both of these in grande prairie but this place has yet to be anything but impeccable each time we visit ,and we look forward to seeing you all again soon !More

Sawmill is a great place to go with a group of friends, family and business occasions. They are definitely one of my 1st choices when choosing somewhere to eat! We also held a retirement dinner there for a staff member with 20 guests and the...staff and John always do an amazing job!More
