We had a Sumba sandwich and the Piri chicken sandwich. They were both very creative and excellent tasting. Bartender was very friendly. The criticism is the waitress didn't refill our water glasses. She wasn't busy, hung out at the bar, not attentive. Just hate running...out of beverage when I eat.More

Just Ok food and drinks, service was mediocre to poor . We had to call our server (Katie)over to order food and sat for a long time with empty drinks. Someone different came to take empty plates that sat on the table for awhile. We...sat inside and it was not a matter of being too busy, as most of the servers were hanging out in front of the bar. With the exception of one young woman who was working her first shift. She was very friendly and seemed to be working the dining room. Unlikely to return, with so many other options in Jasper.More

Atmosphere was great as well as the food. The service was also excellent. 100% would recommend. Try the elk steak!

Went here tonight because Jasper Brewing was a 35 minute wait. We should have waited. Ordered the pretzel appetizer, and both my wife and I got the fish and chips special. Pretzel was delicious a d made us really excited for our meal. Unfortunately the...server neglected to tell us that the fish and chips would have a giant mountain of tarter sauce directly on the fish, rendering it inedible. When the server asked how it was I was honest, and she responded with I'll let the chef know. Thing is the fish and chips wasn't on the menu so I had no way of knowing it would be ruined before I had a chance to try it. It would have been a better level of service to take the plate away and return with fish I could eat. When we go through to the fries on the bottom, they were horribly overcooked. We hardly ate any of the fries, paid our bill, and got our of there. What an awful experience. Avoid this place, unless you spending $100.00 and leaving unhappy and unsatisfied.More

To my surprise, it would appear we have eaten here before. Interestingly, I had the elk steak the last time as well. Well, this year the steak was much better. I did ask my waiter if the other staff would laugh at me for ordering...the "Road Kill Special"? He thought that was funny, which was my intention. I don't believe they did laugh? My wife had the Moroccan chicken. That "plate" was special. I would order that the next time I am in town. The patio atmosphere was excellent and our servicer was exceptionally friendly. My wife had to tell him I was joking, when I said "Give me my bill and $20.00 and I will give you back your table". I guess he had never heard that one before.More

Good food, quick service... Now I had just a boring but good Chicken Parmesan; however, for the others, elk stake, bison ribs, and wild sockeye salmon....

Unfortunately we were excited to eat dinner here and both the food and waitress disappointed us. We asked for well done, we got burnt. Including our burger bun. Half of the food tasted good but the servers racial comments to us and telling us “don’t...come back here again” left us with a sour taste in our mouth. We’ve never experienced this type of service in Canada. The caucasian waitress had a thick accent and tried to tell us in Canada how things are when we are born and raised here. I’m telling everyone I know to not step foot in this restaurant unless you want to be insulted and experience racism. Completely rude and ridiculous. The food wasn’t even worth itMore

I find it funny that the title of your review was “Rude and Racist” as that is exactly how you acted. First you order your food “Extra well done” then complained that it was over done and didn’t think you should pay for it. You...More

Had a very poor experience. We order the Elk meat, miso steak bites, and avacado Cesar salad. The veggie came with the Elk meat overcooked. Miso steak bites should be just off the menu.. Food is totally not good, over priced. Well overpriced is expected...as Jasper is a tourist place. However, just feel ripped off. We went to Raven Bistro, nice food. We later went to Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the food is cheaper than downstream and much better. Out of the meal, the salad is the best, well it's just salad, lucky that can't really go wrong about it. We paid 69 dollar for this. We would have much better food for that price..More

The food was awful. We ordered avocado dip (chips were stale, cheese was just a cold lump), pretzel bread (this was the only decent food), beef burger (bun was stale, “oven roasted” tomatoes were mush, there must have been 1/2 cup of yellow mustard on...it to overpower the other flavours), and hot smoked duck breast (veggies were soggy and falling apart, everything was swimming in a bland gravy-ish sauce, if you threw the roasted potatoes they would have left holes in the walls, I had to ask for a steak knife just for the potatoes alone, the duck itself was fatty and texturally felt like ham). Food didn’t take long to come out but I would rather have had the kitchen work on my food longer and actually serve me edible food.More

I am sorry that you felt this way. We make everything fresh everyday, so none of your food was stale, especially the chips with your dip. If you would like to discuss this further email us at dowmstreamjasper@gmail.com.

Yes, children can go; this is a family friendly, relaxed place. As others noted I would go earlier (by 7pm) as the evening does get going with music etc..
